2nd Page Our December Story 2015

I needed to create a page to go behind my First Page of Our December Story and decided to look threw the paper pack and create one just out of paper.

 I choose these two papers from the 12X12 Sleigh Bells Ring pattern paper pack from Micheal's.

I decided to add one element that was not paper and choose to use my Viva Decor Pearl Pen, I added that to the tiny white dots.

Yes it may get squished over time but for now I love it.

I decided to add an additional strip to bring in some of the brown of the wreath.

The polka dot red piece is 1 inch in width and the brown wood grain is 1/4 inch in width.







This will fit perfectly behind my first page and cant wait to continue as I take pictures of the family threw the month of December and our mischief elf Polka Dot Stripe.

First page of Our December Story

I wanted to make a first page quote of some sort for Our December Story album and again began to look threw Pinterest and cased an idea.

 I used my Stampin UP star framelits (the smallest one) to cut out a glitter gold star from some paper I purchased from Hobby Lobby.

 Using wax paper really helps to make sure I have enough room for the thickers/stickers I want to use.

I am using a combination of Simple Stories and lilybee designs.

I trimmed down my quote and added it to some 12X12 pattern paper that I also trimmed down to 8 1/2 by 11.

I used the Sleigh Bells Ring 12X12 stack from Micheal's for the background and the tree stump.






I used my Ipand Mini the Pages App to re-type the quote, I changed the font and sizing to my liking and left the blank space in the middle to add my letter stickers.

I really love how this turned out.

Our December Story (2015 December Calender Page)

I wanted to print out a fun calendar for Our December Story album and looked threw Pinterest and found this adorable one, accually all of them for 2015 are super cute, I will be sure to go back to the site for future calendars.

I began by first trimming down the calendar so that I could back it on some cute pattern paper that I also cut down to 8 1/2 by 11.

 I trimmed off just a bit off each side.

 Just to make the corners stand out.

 So pretty, a close up of the top of the free printable, I love how it does not scream Christmas but has that feel of it.

 Micheal's had a nice new selection of 12X12 Christmas pattern paper stacks, this one is called Sleigh Bells Ring.

 I decided to go with the one on the upper left, cream based with white, olive green, and cherry red dots.

All you need is a small amount of tape runner, I will put this in a 8 1/2 by 11 inch page protector.

I swatched some of my Stampin Write markers to see which matched the paper colors and wrote them on a post it now for later when I fill out the calendar.

I will have a note book upstairs where I will write down daily things that happen during the month of December and add them to the Calendar when I have time.

2015 December Memories Album

This year I am going with a 12X12 Album for what I am calling Our December Story. I havent even finished my two mini albums from last year and I think it was because I had to choose only a few photos for each page since it was a small album.  This year I will be able to add more photos, embelishments, and journaling.  I will also be able to put possibly 3 to 4 Christmas memories in the album.

Here is my cover, it doesnt scream Christmas but it works for me and I truly do love it.

 I started off by taking this wood embellishments that I got from Micheal's and removed the foam from the back and painted them with one coat of white paint.

 I used paints in these colors
Apple Barrel paint in white
Martha Stewart satin in Artichoke
Martha Stewart Metalic grey
Craft Smith in brown

 I only used one coat of the shimmery green and shimmery brown after the white pain was dry.

I also added a glossy finish after the pain was dry as well.

 After the snowflakes were dry I added a layer of versa mark ink and sprinkled WOW embossing powder in the color Silver Pearl.

I used the tweezers to hold onto it while the heat tool melted the powder.

 Kinda laying out my layout before I glued it down.

The alphas are from American Crafts in the font Jewelry Box.

I used a combonation of Multi Matte Medium and foam square to addhere everything.

 Using a quick stick to add my gems onto the tree really helps and make this process super quick and easy.

Elf arrival letter 2015 (Polka Dot Stripe)

I decided to print out an arrival letter this year for out elf Polka Dot Stripe so I searched threw pinterest and didn't find many but I did find one, I basically copied it to a T changed the font and sizes and removed the colored letters. Click Here for the letter I used.

 I am using some new and old embellishments from my stash, the 3D stickers are the Micheal's brand, the elfs are new this year and the presents are from last year.

I added a gem to the elf hat which I got from my stash.

I used some liquid glue, tape runner and foam squares as well.

The tree was from last year the Hobby Lobby brand. 

I typed the letter and printed it our on 8 1/2 by 11 inch card stock then trimmed it down 3/4 of an inch on each side.  I choose a paper from a Micheal's 12X12 paper pack which I picked up a few new ones this year, I trimmed that down to 8 1/2 by 11. I used the tape runner to place the letter in the center of the pattern paper.

I added an extra foam square to the elf body to make him more even and also a gem to his hat.

I glued down the tree with liquid glue because its made with felt.

I will put this out with the elf and the girls countdown calender tomorrow morning.

Alexis Girl Scout Project Life 2014/2015 Blue Bag Walk

As I am working on project Life and going threw my toss box (a place were I put photos and memorabilia until I have time to work on it) I noticed I had printed out so reprints for Alexis Girl Scout album. So I began to work on that.

This is a two page, well back and front 8 1/2 by 11 inch page protector.

First page, I used a Retired Stampin UP DSP from one of their Holiday catalogues.

I used some Thickers by American Crafts in the design called Subway and some Lilybee designs ABC stickers.

I used a Dreamy Collection 3X4 Journal card.

This is just a photo of our walking route.

Project Life July 3rd and 4th 2015

Well yes it is the end of November but you just have to craft what you feel and this evening I felt like Project Life, I did however finish up my daughters teachers thank you notes for December (I made a set of 25 and 20).

First Page

I used some 3D stickers from my stash to dress up this 3X4 journal card and Doodlebug teensy type letter stickers.

I used Momenta Metallic letter stickers.

I used Lillybee designs letter stickers.

CAS(E) this Sketch #150

I again love this sketch go and play along at CAS(E) this Sketch #150.

 I started off by using my T-Squared ruler and a pencil to make a light pencil line to know where I will stamp my pumpkins.

 I am using ink from Stampin UP in the colors Soft Suede and Tangelo Twist.

I did a little selective inking which is easy because these are clear stamps.

I started on the ends which was much easier for me to make them even.

 I stamped a sentiment from Paper Trey Ink in Soft Suede as well.

I also used the coordinating dies to cut out some masking paper of the pumpkins before I stamped the leaf in Garden Green.

 I used an eraser to remove the pencil line.

 For the inside of the card, back of the card, and envelope I stamped in full ink then stamped off once on scratch paper and then onto my project.
