5X7 Sympathy Card for a Dog Dad

I wanted to make out PML - Project Manager Leader a card because he recently lost his dog of 17 years (I believe thats what he said) I wanted to make a Larger Card with more Signage Room so I could bring to our store and have people sign it.  So I decided to go with a 5X7 Tri Fold Card.

This design is a CASE card, where I basicly found this design and used what I had in my stash to change things.

I am making a frame with some Sea Glass cards stock from the Stamps of Life.
The size is 5X7 but I am cutting out the inside with my paper trimmer.

Using my Sizzix Side Kick and some Lawn Fawn alpha dies - Coles ABC's.
Some Silver Holographic 12X12 paper from Hero Arts.

I also cut two more letters from Sea Glass card stock.

Glue together with some Art Glitter Glue and put a block on top for a few until it dies.

I used some Licorice card stock to create a double grass border.
These are both the Stamps of Life products.
I did cut a Sea Glass circle but ended up not using it.

I cut 4 dogs - three of the same and one different for the inside of the card.
Glue the three together.
The dog dies came from a Sneak Peak Kit Club #2 from Waffle Flower - called best friend die.

Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Dies to blend a background.
Tumbled Glass
Salty Ocean
Chipped Sapphire
Black Soot

I used a Bristol Smooth card stock.
I began blending in the top corner with the lighter ink first.

Just blended until I liked the look.
Lighter to darker.

Some Titanium White paint and a little water.
Made some splatters in my splat box.
Acrylic Block and an old paint brush.

Glued the Miss You down at the top corner.

Added two different Star sequins in silver.
Came from Micheal's at Christmas time.
Art Glitter Glue and a Pick Up stick help.

Finished card.

I also Inked the dog lightly to create a shadow effect.

My sentiments also came from Waffle Flower - this set is called Pawfect Sentiments.

Lots of room to write our thoughts.
My 5X7 Tri Fold card base is made from Powder Sugar card stock from the Stamps of Life

Cat Easter Egg Card

Back again and created a Cat themed Interactive Easter Egg Shaped Card.

Started off by using the Main die to create the card.
I used the Stamps of Life Powder Sugar card stock.

You get the main larger die, the smaller die and then the main image die.
This is from the Stamps of life.

I used the Image die and layer to cut out the mail focal.
I used the layer die to cut out a plain canvas to glue the image to.

Here are my ink colors from the Stamps of Life.
Colors ink and card stock
Cranberry Ink
Marigold Card Stock
Tangerine Ink
Banana Ink
Green Apple Ink and Card Stock
Pacific Ink and Card Stock
Pansy Ink
Grape Ink
Cloud Card Stock
Powder Sugar Card Stock
Twig Ink and Card Stock

I kept this ink because I ultimently messed up but still wanted to show my process.

I thought I had it inked off and blocked correctly but I did not.

See some of the colors blended to close.
I saved the egg panel and put it in with my die set.

I cut out the egg design in Powder Sugar again.

Inked them directly with my ink pads.

Glued them on a Powder Sugar egg shape.

Took that Egg Shape and my scissors and cut along one of the Zig Zag lines.

My pokey tool and a green brad from my stash - maybe Micheal's or Hobby Lobby.

Pacific and Green Apple card stock.
I used a Stampin Up embossing folder for some cloud texture.
A grass die from the Stamps of Life - they have a few and not sure where this one came from.

Cut one more Powder Sugar Egg Shape.
Glued my clouds and grass down.

Made sure to check with my egg to make sure I did not glue to high or to low.

There is some extra due to cutting the egg in half - I just trimmed it even after glueing it down.

Finished Card front.
The card hold came from a card kit form the Stamps of Life.

When the Egg is open it shows a cat inside with some Cat Themed Easter Eggs.

Flamingo Easter Egg Car

I am Back and Made a Flamingo Easter Card for Alivia's 5th Grade Teacher.

This card is a Fold-it or Shaped Card that is also an Interactive card because the Egg opens up to show the Flamingo inside.

I used this Limited Edition Easter Egg Fold-it die from the Stamps of Life.
I also used their Powder Sugar Card stock.
I cut one regular Egg out and one with the flower design.

I am inking with the Stamps of Life inks and the Taylored Expressions Blender Brushes.

It does not need to be pretty because the flower cut out egg will cover most of it.

From Taylored Expressions I pulled out my Trusty Flamingo dies, stamp, and stencil called tickled pink.

I used Marigold card stock with matching ink plus Banana ink to give some contrast.
I finished it off using the Stamps of Life markers to color the legs and beak.

Some fine tip glue from Art Glitter glue.

Using a Zig Zag die from the Stamps of life.
Position it where most of the head and top of Flamingo will show.

I am using some brads - maybe from Micheal's or Hobby Lobby.
A pokey tool to make a hole.

Now the egg opens and closes.
I adhered the flamingo to a piece of Ocean card stock.
I cut it with the same egg die.
I trimmed it to fit the main flower die after glueing just the bottom of the egg down.
You want your egg to open freely.

I cut a card base from Powder Sugar as well as the main layer from Sunshine card stock.

Here is my Finished Card.
The card stand came from a the Stamps of Life card kit, I cut that out from Green Apple card stock.

Here is the back of my card.
All my sentiments cam from a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp called Some Bunny.

How the card opens up.

Back of the card.

I purchased this Simon Says Stamp set from a face book group.
I checked to see if for sale and it looks like it came from an older card kit of theirs.
