Freshly Made Sketches #496

I decided to join anouther challenge, this time one from my past.

Freshly Made Sketches #496. I was going threw my Blog post from when I first started making cards back in 2012 and 2013 and this is one of the challenges I began to enter.

I recently began getting some kits from Echo Park and I like to store them in big ziplock bags.
I am using the May and July 2021 scrabooking kits.

All the pieces in the bag for nice storage.
I got them from Amazon.

I am using a Powder Sugar card base from the Stamps of Life.
I have it folded and held down with the magnets that go with the Wendy Vechi Make Art mat.

I am using the Chip Board accents for this card.
Also some of the pattern paper in the kits the 6X6 sized paper.
Liquid Glue to ensure they do not come up.

Finished Card.

Side view.

More pattern paper on the inside.
I used the stickers from the 12X12 pack as my sentiments.

More Stickers.

Wendy's Luvin Stampin' color splash 54

My Stampin Up demo gal does these color splash videos each week and challenges us to make a card with the combo.  WELL 54 splashes later I decided to join one.

Color Splash challenge VISIT HERE.

I am using my Hampton Art Stamp Perfect tool to help me out with this card.
Whisper White card stock.
I did double stamp Grey Granite ink.

I then used the second step with Merry Merlot and double stamped that.
I did not like it.
I am using Painted Harvest stamp set.

The second time I inked the main bold first image with Gray Granite and then used scrap paper on top to collect some ink.
Then double stamped with Merry Merlot.
I liked it better the second go around.

Right is double stamped with both inks.
Left is double stamped with Merry Merlot and second generation stamping with Gray Granite.

I am double checking my sentiment space.
I am using a die from Stampin Up but not sure the name.
I believe its a current offering in the 2021/2022 catalogue.

And Then always checks your fingers for ink.
I smeared my second image the one I like better.
Oh well I went with the first one and actually still like it.
It dried down a little as my card process went on.

Crumb Cake card base.
I again stamped off then on the panel.
Then was not paying attention and accidently stamped full ink.
Well I liked the combination and went with it and added more full strength here and there along the edges.

Finished Card.

I added some foam dimensionals on the back of the die cut panel.
The sentiment is also stamped in Crumb Cake ink.
The last color I used for the center of the flower was Early Espresso.

Ghost Mug Card

I decided to make a Halloween Mug fold it card.

I am using a Honey Bee stamps die set along with some Stampin Up Shimmer White card stock.
Washi Tape to keep the face dies where I want them.

This Mug is a Fold It die from the Stamps of Life.
I am using Grey Granite card stock from Stampin Up.
The White (whip cream) is also more of the Shimmer White card stock.

This stencil is from Hero Arts - it came in a Monthly kit.

I am using the cordinating Grey Granite ink and a Taylored Expressions Blender Brush.

The Boo die is from Echo Park.
Tomobow Mono Liquid Glue to adhere everything down.

I used Bazzill Basics in Licorice for my Black.
Stampin Up foam dimensionals to pop up the mug.

I recently purchased this Wendy Vechi Make Art matt and I am in Love.

I am blending the back and inside of the card.
Along with the front and back of the envelope.

Very light ink blending.

Front of card and front of envelope.

Close up of the card.

Back of card and Back of envelope.

Inside of the card.
The stamped sentiments and ghost are from Paper Smooches.

Here is the Best Witches stamp set.
Sadly she has closed her door and not making any more Paper Smooches.

Halloween Sand Castle Fold It card

I busted out my recent Sand Castle Fold It die from the Stamps of Life and paired it with my favorite ink and card stock from Stampin Up.

I also brought in a stamp set from Paper Smooches called Best Witches and some dies from Echo Park.

Confetti Cream card stock inked with Crumb Cake ink.
Taylored Expressions Blending Brushes.

Baked Brown Sugar card stock for the base.
Inked with cordinating ink and Summer Starfruit ink.

I covered up my flags because I inked them in Pumpkin Pie.
Added some gold Heidi Swapp ink splatters.

Confetti Cream card stock for all my die cut images.
Summer Starfruit ink on Baked Brown Sugar card stock.
Mossy Meadow ink for the stem.

The awsome stamp set, Paper Smooches no longer in production.

Boo Die cut from Summer Starfuit, inked in that ink on the bottom and Baked Brown Sugar on top.
Cut a few more out to build up some dimension.

Easier then tiny foam on the back.

Finished Card.

Scrubby Yarn Witch Gnome

Its was very HOT this weekend in Alaska and I began watching You Tube down stairs because its way cooler and got hooked on Gnome Yarn videos.

I went to Micheal's after work today and got home and started to try things out.

I am not sure if the Hot Glue will work with this scrubby yarn, it seemed it did not want to adhere and not dry.  I currently have the gnome in the photo box and not touching it for a bit.

I started off with a piece from my craft room that was 5 inches long and wrapped it around a bunch of times.
I started and ended at the same end.

I used 3/4 inch part of the toilet paper.
Tip one - I would use smaller band - 1/2 inch next time.

This is the brand of this yarn.

Already realize its a little too short.
Tip 2 - go longer then you think - you can take away at the end but you cant add more length.

Fold in half.

Go in your tube.

And pull the strands threw the hoop.

Tighten and go around until completely full.

Half way done.

Nice and full.

Shove that yarn inside the tube and pull out the other end.

Give it a hair cut to your liking.

TaDa.

This time I went wider almost 7 inches.
Still I believe I would go wider again.
Tie string around the center.

I got a big tube of wood beads from Micheal's as well.
Paint it black.

Pom Pom on the inside Hot Glued down.

Fold in half at the center.

Add hot glue and shove and hold.

Need a hair cut.

Finished.

Close up.
Add hot glue to your nose and stick on, holes on the ends.
