America Card #3

Here is my #3 America Card, I got the idea for the card here.

Again using supplies from my own craft room and changing things up to make it my own.

Here I am again laying out the idea for the card but using the upper left corner of my work mat.
I have die cut my pieces from Bazzil Wax Lips and Whirlypop card stock along with some Stampin Up Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.
Adding Stampin Up dimensionals and Some Tombow Mono liquid glue.
I embossed a piece of 4 by 5 1/4 white card stock with a striped embossing folder from Stampin Up.

I am using the I guess you would call it debossed side for this card.

I added small dots of Tombow Mono liquid glue.
Using a Pick Me Up stick to help add the stars.
This is a Stamps of Life Circle Dots stencil that I thought looked like Fireworks and some Real Red(Stampin Up) ink on this Turquoise envelope from Hobby Lobby.

Blender Brush from Taylored Expressions.
I got some different address lables from Shutterfly to match all different occasions.
Finished Card.

Close up, Side view.

I think it gives the perfect amount of dimension and texture.

America Card #2

I found this card on Pinterest and wanted to re create using the supplies I have on hand.

These are a bunch of Stamps of Life dies that I kinda just threw in a bag.

I have a A2 card frame taped on my mat to help with card design.
I used purple tape to hold the whole thing together and placed it over a piece of Bazzil card stock in the color Whirlypop.
I then used Tombow Mono liquid glue to adhere the die cut panel to ta piece of Hobby Lobby Beargrass Metallic paper.
I made a top folding card base from some 110 pound white card stock.

I cut some 1 inch stripes of the same Beargrass Metallic paper and Bazzil Wax Lips.
I cut down the extra from the one inch strips.

I also added some stick strip and a thin scrap of black card stock instead of using ribbon.
Finished card.

I decided to add more then just one small accent star like the card inspiration.

I added a total of five and used Stampin Up mini dimensional foam to adhere them.
I tried to capture the shimmer from the Hobby Lobby Beargrass Metallic paper but its hard to capture via my camera but in real life it is pretty pretty.
I decided to use a Simon Says Stamp set called Cupcake Party and grouped all the stars from the set and stamped the from in Stampin Up Pacific Point ink.

The celebrate sentiment came from the same stamp set.f

This is the front of the envelope.
And just for kicks I decided to go all out on the back of the envelope as well.

I included Stampin Up Real Red ink.
This is the Cupcake Party stamp set.

I got in a card kit a very very very long time ago but I reach for it often because of the star image.

America Card #1

So first time in my new craft room and I am loving it, I decided to try and get ahead of the game and make some cards for the 4th of July and do blogging as well.

Here is card #1

I started off by scoring some Night of Navy card stock from Stampin Up.

This will be a landscape card.
I also used some glitter paper from Stampin Up that I believe is called Dazzleing Diamonds and a star punch as well to punch out 9 stars.
I started off with a 3X3 square of Night of Navy but after adding my stars using Stampin Up's mini foam dots I trimmed it down to roughly 2 1/4 square.
Using an old Fiskars border punch along with some white card stock and some red from Gina K Designs I just kinda free handed the hight and width.

I popped it up using Stampin Up's regular foam dots on a piece of black cardstock that is 1/4 inch shy of the the 4 1/4 inch by 5 1/2 inch card base.
Side View.

Finished Card.

Inside, I used some more Gina K Designs red card stock and the same border punch to decorate the inside of the card.
