Christmas Tree Clothespins

I made the Santa Hat Clothespins a few days ago and wanted to come up with a second version and figured I would try Christmas trees.

If you would like to see the Santa Hat version please CLICK HERE.

Here are the supplies that I started off with. I did change up and used brown card stock instead of green and added yellow card stock as well.
I used the Tree Builder punch from Stampin Up and cut out two of each using their Baked Brown Sugar card stock.

I layed them out in rows of five because I will be making twenty of them.
I used some green glitter paper next using the same tree builder punch, I cut the trunk off.

You will need two of each punch outs.
I then used some yellow heavy weight card stock from Hobby Lobby and gold glitter card stock and a star punch from Hobby Lobby as well.
I used Tombow Mono glue to adhere the glitter card stock to the colored card stock.
I used some Stampin Up dimensionals of the stars and hot glued the trees to the green clothes pins that I purchased from Micheal's.

If I were to do these again I would use smaller circle foam dots next time.
I used some red stickles to add some extra color and sparkle and make it look like bulbs or ornaments.

Santa Hat clothes pins

I saw this idea a few times on Pinterest and decided to use what I had in my stash and give it a try.

Here is anouther how to CLICK HERE, I got my info from here but changed it up just a bit.

I started off by punching lots of shapes and putting them into piles.

I am using Dazziling Diamonds glitter paper scraps and some American Crafts red glitter paper as well as some Hobby Lobby Heavy Weight red scrap paper.
I used three punches from Stampin UP.

The Tree punch, a small Circle punch, and their Word Window punch.

I am not sure if any are still current and available to purchase from Stampin Up.
I start by using Tombow Mono Glue to glue the American Craft glitter paper to the Red heavy weight paper.

I am using some Red small clothes pins that I purchased from Micheal's.
I used a small line of glue to attach the hat to the brim and a let that dry, I then added a small dab of glue to the top and added the circle and let that dry.

Its good to add Liquid glue because of the fact that you are using glitter paper.
I did how ever use hot glue to attach the clothes pin to the hat.
Finished hats, it was about a two day process just to ensure drying time.

CAS(E) this Sketch #181

The sketch for this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch makes a very versatile card design for any holiday or occasion, to play along with the sketch CLICK HERE.

I recently saw a Christmas card shaker on You Tube and decided to remake with the supplies I had on hand in my own craft room.  Video of inspiration CLICK HERE.

I am starting off with 110 pound white card stock from Micheal's. I am making two cards at once.

I have two card bases, top folding and two pieces of each, one measuring 2 1/4 inches by 4 1/4 inches and tow measuring 2 inches by 4 inches.

I also have some acetate measuring 2 by 4 inches.
I cut out the merry die either from My Favorite Things or Papertrey Ink.

Those little white fleks of paper are from the die cut.

I just gently moved my hand around the negative to remove them.
Using some red line tape around the merry die and then I will place my acetate ontop.
Using some old Stampin Up foam adhesive around the merry.
I first added some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh in the color Marshmallow, Peacock, and Raspberry.

I used 4mm cuped sequins
I then undid the shaker very carefully and dumped out the sequins and started to adhere some with some liquid mono glue.

I let that dry a few minutes and put the rest of the sequins back in.
I took some Silver paper by Craft Smith, a 6X6 pack and added 1/4 inch strip to the top and bottom.

The Christmas was white heat embossed using a Stampin UP stamp set called Snow Place.

GOP042

I decided to partake in anouther challenge this 4 day weekend of mine and I took this one and flipped it to make a landscape style card.

If you would like to play along with Global Design Project sketch #042 Click Here.

I started out with some heavy weight white card stock cut to 4 inches by 5 1/4.

Using Stampin UP Pacific Point ink and a back ground stamp also from Stampin Up.
I don't yet have a Misti stamping too but home to get one soon.

So I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to help out in stamping my little images from this Lawn Fawn set called Float My Boat which I have the matching dies as well.

I just left the stamp-a-ma-jig in the same spot and stamped down twice and got a nice crisp image.
I used some Lawn Fawn circle and scallop circle dies.

I started with a black scallop and didn't like it with the black boat, so I went and tried the anchor but didn't like that, so I stamped the lifesaver in Pacific Point and loved that but not with the black scallop because my card base is black.
So I went and cut out a Riding Hood Red scallop and was able to peel the black and white apart.

I added some thrift store find twine around the card four time and taped on the back and added some foam as well.

I also added a silly knot on the front as well.
Here is the inside of the card.

I changed this card many times and I am happy I did, I also saved my cut outs and put them with the stamp set for future cards.
Finished card

SOS258 How does your garden grow

Looking threw other crafty peoples challenge entries I found anouther new challenge site called -
Shopping Our Stash, and there challenge this time was How Does Your Garden Grow.

If you would like to participate Click Here.

I am using a stamps set from My Favorite Things called Sweet Rose and a set from My Pink Stamper called Lunchbox Thoughts.

The dies that also cordinate with Sweet Rose and a book mark die from Avery Elle.
Here I am die cutting them all at once on my Big Shot.

I am using heavy weight white card stock from Hobby Lobby as well as some Stampin UP colors called Pistachio Pudding, Sweet Sugar Plum, and Crisp Cantaloupe.
I cut out enough for eight bookmarks, so I made eight passes threw my Big Shot.

I used my pokey tool to help push the flowers and leaves out of the dies.

I then stamped the flowers and leaves with cordinating ink that match the card stock.
Using a sentiment from the Lunchbox Notes stamp set and some Dapper Denim ink, I stamped it on the side of the book mark right above the little dots that the Avery Elle bookmark die made while cutting it out.
Using some Tombow Mono glue to adhere the flowers and leaves.
I took some Hobby Lobby brand ribbon and cut 10 inches worth.
I cut that in half so I ended up with two five inch pieces.

Heat seal the edges lightly with a lighter to prevent the ribbon from splitting.
Feed them threw the slot at the top and spreed them apart a little and use a mini stapler to staple them down.
All Finished

SIP Challenge #54

I found a new challenge blog while visiting other designers from a previous challenge blog called CAS(E) this Sketch, so I decided to join in since I have quite the amount of Stampin UP product.

This was a color challenge to use Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, and Tangelo Twist.

I started off with some 110 pound cream card stock from Micheal's cut at 3 3/4 by 5 inches.

I stamped some images from the Stampin UP set called What I love set in full strength ink.
The second layer of the flower I first stamped off on scratch paper then onto my project, called second generation stamping.

I also stamped off on scratch paper the other leaf in the stamp set then onto my project.
After stamping all the images I wanted I added some cream colored thread/twine that I purchased from a thrift store a very long time ago.

I taped it one the back and added some foam as well.

You can see I first tried useing the Tangelo Twist for the Thank You but did not like it and went with the Old Olive instead.
Finished card.

Inside of the card, the card base is Stampin Up Soft Suede color.
