ABC Christmas Card Challenge J & K

I found anouther new to me challenge blog.  This one is a Christmas Card Challenge with a Twist, they use letters of the alphabet for their challenge.

This one was J & K - Joke and Kraft - well I still cant figure out a J Joke for a Christmas card but man there were so many amazing Kraft cards I went with it.

I thought this "MERRY CHRISTMAS" die cut was going to work but ended up changing my mind later on in my card making process.

I store my word dies - shadow in binders using base ball card sleeves.
I like to have a put together one because it makes it easy to see what it would look like on a project.
I use cheap vellum and black card stock.
The finished word die going in front and the die goes behind.
If I have not die cut the die yet it goes in the front of the pocket.

I store my stencils the same way.
Except in a smaller binder and page protectors,
These are from Hobby Lobby.

I am using some paint from my stash.
Some Wendy Vechi embossing paste as well.

My Wendy Vechi Make Art Mat.
I tape down the stencil and card stock.

I mixed up the paint and embossing paste.
It was a little darker then what I wanted but it works.

I made the layer decently thick.
It gives nice dimension to the card since this is the main focal point.

Decided to stencil the inside of the card.
Stamps of Life Powder Sugar for the card base.
Gingersnap ink and card stock for the rest of the card.

I cut the Joy out three times and glued them together to give some dimension.

Since the panel is a little warped I used liquid glue and sticky tape to adhere to my card base.

Simon Says Stamp sentiments are from Abstract Holiday and Clean Line Christmas.

Finished card.

Side View - added some gems from my stash.

My Favorite Things Slim Line Challenge "Thank You"

I was looking at some of the entries from the My Favorite Things Challenges and saw that one person mentioned a Slime Line Challenge.

I clicked the link and low and behold My Favorite Things has a new Challenge for Slim Line Cards.

Yep I had to join, its a one time a month so if you would like to participate CLICK HERE.

I have a couple of binders with base ball insert page protectors.
I cut a cheap card stock insert.
One side has the die and the other has it die cut in black or black on vellum if it has a shadow.
Some I have not die cut yet.

I like storing my sentiments in these.
They are next to my desk in a rolly cart and I feel I use them more now.
Beats searching threw stamp sets to find one I want to use.

These are my the Stamps of Life Slim Line and Mini Slim Line dies.

This lovely stack is all the card stock from My Favorite Things that I have been accumulating from card kits.

I am suing My Favorite Things card stock for this card challenge.
I am making a Mini Slim Line card.
I used the layering die from blue.
A normal Slim Line back ground die just cut to size.
I used my Gemini because it was an intracite die.

I am using the Mini Slim Line base card die and Layering Dies.

Art Glitter Glue.
Then I pounced off on my Mixed Media matt to remove extra glue.
Wipe it off with a baby wipe.

A 6X6 paper pad from the Stamps of Life called "By The Sea Collection".
I am using a combination of the outline dies and the inside dies.
The dies came from fish2stamp

Licorice ink and the Stampers Secret Weapon.
This skinny rectangle die came from one of the Slim Line dies.
My Favorite Things Kind Thanks stamp set.

Here is where I keep my My Favorite Things card stock.
I also use a page protector to hold the scraps.

Some Enamel Dots from the Stamps of Life.
Tiny Black ones for the fish eye.
Glittery White for bubbles.
The Thanks is cut three times and came from My Favorite Things.
It was paired with a die that said "many" as well.

My Favorite Things color challenge #190

Decided to check out the My Favorite Things Color Challenge #190 since I just entered the Sketch Challenge.

I have saved all the My Favorite Things card stock that I have recieved when purchasing their kits into one drawer along with scraps. This gives me and Excuse to use them up.

Would you like to play along CLICK HERE.

This is the amount I have accumulated and need to start using.

I tried to pull the color for the challenge and I believe I got close except for one.
Pulled in their white card stock as well.
I am really Loving their White.

Pulled out their baby shark die namics.

This wave die is also theirs.

An older holiday punch from Stampin Up.

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #595

I enjoy the Sketch Challenges from My Favorite Things and this one was simple.  I did change the card size while working on the Challenge and I enjoyed the Challenge even more.

Would you like to join in on this Challenge CLICK HERE.

Here are my color choices for this card.
Tranquil Tide, Bermuda Bay, and Smokey Slate.
I also used the matching card stock as well.
These come from Stampin UP.

My Favorite Things stamp and die set called Trio of Trees.
This came up when I searched on how to stamp these images.
I got my colors from this search as well.

My good old Hampton Art Stamping Tool.

Sizzix Side kick.

My white card stock is from My Favorite Things as well.
They came from the card kits they sell.
The hill die is from the Stamps of Life.

I started out with the biggest Tag die from the Stamps of Life.
I realized it was going to be too big.
I inked blended then cut it down with the next tag sized die.

I started with a Traditional A2 card base 4 1/4 by 5 1/2.
Again realizing sizes were not matching up with my die cut images and thought process.
I brought out the A1 card base die.
Its sized at an A1 3 1/2 by 5.

After inking and re die cutting.
I added some splatters to create snow.

I die cut the layering die from the die set and stamped more snow flake on the background.
No need to stamp in the center since it will be covered up.
I am using Re Positionable adhesive to the recipeint can take of the Tag.

I added the first layer on flat and then used foam for the second layer.
In hindsight I would not do this again.
My card fits in the envelope but it is a little snug.

I added foam to the end of my sentiment so that again the person that recieves this card  an take of the tag.

Extra trees fro the inside of the card.

Back of the card.

I have the envelope die from the Stamps of Life.

Envelope Flap.

Sticky Strip ready for when I want to mail.

I used some ribbon from the Stamps of Life.
Most likely a card kit or ribbon pack.

Side View.
My sentiments are from My Favorite Things as well.
Stamp set called Bitty Holiday Wishes.
