SSS Wednesday Challenge Die Crazy

Over at the Wednesday Challenge for Simon Says Stamp its called die crazy, which means use your dies.

I decided to go with a very simple card for my nephews, boy/guy/man cards are always a challenge and I think this one will do.

While I wait for the water color piece to dry I worked on the card base.

This is the inside, the card base and ink is a grey color.
The back of the card also in a grey ink on the same grey card base.
I used water color paper sized at 4 by 5 1/4 and a grey water color.
I stamped my skull and bones in a black ink on scrap white card stock and die cut them with the matching dies.
Using some fun foam I cut it slightly smaller then my panel and used some double sided tape.
Testing out the placement before I commit.
I decided to add a grey liner inside the envelope.
 Ta Da.
Finished card.

Stringless Christmas Tags #1

I took inspiration from this photo on Pinterest.

I figured I should make some tags for Christmas that don't always involve string.

I left this photo in because I changed my mind about what I would use for snow flakes on the tags.
Here I am trying to figure out placement and realizing I needed to find a different solution to balance out the size of the punched snow flake versus the stamped snow flakes.
Stamped the snow flakes in white ink then cleaned them and let them dry a little.

I stamped them again in a red ink once off on scratch paper then onto the white snow flakes just a little off set.
I used a snow flake die and place it in between wax paper and the tag, the wax paper makes it easier to remove the intricate snow flake easily.
Using Tombow Mono liquid glue to adhere the piece to my red mat.

Kraft is 2 inches by 3 1/2 inches.
Red is 2 1/4 inches by 3 3/4 inches.

Old card stock on hand from some card kits.
Added a nice size pearl to the center, this was easier then replacing the smalled pieces from the snow flake die cut.

I added some foam adhesive to the back, leaving the backing on so that the person receiving the tag can remove the backing and place on their package.

SSS Monday Challenge punch/die cut/stamp

Over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog their challenge for this week is stamping. die cutting, and or punching.

I did a card earlier today for the CASE this Sketch Challenge #140 and took inspiration from it and made it into a Christmas card this time.

I am using the Kuretake tablet again but I noticed I had my tins in the wrong way, thank goodness their are numbers also on the bottoms of the little trays.

Don't go by the number in this picture.
Bottom blue #61, middle blue #63, top blue #64.

Red #30 and green #52.
I used some dies from The Stamps of Life.
I am using some Micheal's star gems and coloring them with a yellow sharpie marker.
Finished card.

The card base is white so I used some of the red #52 and painted it on the edges to match the red Merry die cut.

CAS(E) this Sketch #139

I love the sketch over at the CAS(E) this Sketch blog its number 139 if you want to play along click here.

I started off by applying my spider web stencil with some painters tape on a 4 by 5 1/4 white card stock matt.
I am using a firm touch in the center and fading out near the edges. I used a light grey ink.
I have a sentiment stamp that I previously cut apart.
They easily line up right back together like they were originally intended to be used.
Here I left this picture in because I stamped crocked so I restarted but not by cutting another mat I just flipped over my card stock.

The card stock I am using is a heavy weight white card stock.
Added some tiny google eyes with some Tombow glue and a quick stick.

The spider is from a retired Stampin Up stamp set.
I put the card mat on a base that matches my ink.

Close up.

School Albums 2015 (lableing)

Here I am back again, Ive been sick for about three weeks battling Phenomena and I am starting to feel better but still not 100%. I decided since the first week of school is in the books it was a good time to work on the girls albums.  I have two this year a 1st grader and a preschooler.

I started off by using some scrap black card stock and applying some double sided adhesive to the back.
I am using Lawn Fawn Quinn's ABC dies and also My Favorite Things number dies to spell out 1st grade and pre school.
Lined them up on wax paper to make sure I get the right placement on the seam of the album.
This is how they turned out.

These are Micheal's albums that hold 8 1/2 by 11 page protectors.
