Mojo Monday 364

The sketch for this weeks Mojo Monday 364 was actually quite easy, I made two of the same Halloween cards in under half hour and typed up this blog post.

This card was very simple so their aren't many photos. This stamp is from Stampin UP, its retired now. I used Hero Hues ink in India Ink Black by Hero Arts. I measure my paper by just putting the stamp on my mat and seeing what size it was then just stamping right on top.
If your not a stamp cutter you may want to look away, I cut the stamp in three parts, its Lawn Fawn called Spooktacular.
Finished Card, I used paper from Recollections called All Girl.

Inside using up scraps.

Close up using some gems for the eyes, the eyes are the only dimension on this card.

Creative Challenge Club CCC13

This week at the Creative Challenge Club #13 they had a sketch and I wanted to make more Halloween cards so the sketch had three circles and figured I could use my Stamps of Life set for that purpose. I also dusted off my Cricut and Gypsy and they still work, wow, I haven't used them in a very long time and it was seriously so easy and fast. For this card I used multiple products from multiple company's and it all came together just fine.

I finally was able to get ahold of the My Favorite Things Black Licorice Hybrid ink pad and its awesome to use with copics. Here I stamped the candy corn outline with the MFT Hybrid ink.
The stamp set is called candycorn2cut, I used Stampin UP Pumpkin Pie ink for the centers.
I used a copic marker for the yellow pare Y13. Since I am not doing any blending just adding a layer of color it didn't bleed very much. I used Neenah whit card stock that I purchased from Target.
The stamp set also comes with one candy corn die.
I used an embossing folder from The Paper Studio and some Basic Grey paper from Stampin UP. Also the mat and banner and spider are Basic Black from Stampin UP. I added dimensional on the back of the letter and tombow mono glue to adhere the embossed piece and banner. I also cut a flag from the black piece.
I put a dimensional on top of my spider to hold my silver string. I cut the spider at 1.25 inches from a Cricut cart that I had on my Gypsy, I believe the Create A Critter cartridge.
Finished card, of course I had to add some google eyes to my spider

Close up.

PTI MIM #179

I am entering this card in the Papertrey Ink Make it Monday Challenge #179. I do not have a cover plate from the company but I do own some of their die's so I made my own stencil.

I used some scrap heavy weight card stock and cut out some ghost's using a PTI die and stamp set combo called Polka Dot Parade #3.
I adhered the stencil with painters tape to my silicone craft mat and added Versa Mark and clear embossing powder and then heat set it, I did this two times.
I used Peerless watercolors in Amethyst, Forget Me Not, and Peacock Blue. Then I took a baby wipe and removed the color off the ghosts carefully.
This is the Polka Dot Parade #3.
I used some tiny google eye and adhered them with Multi Medium Matte and my tweezers. I cut some pink card stock from Stampin UP and applied some pink stickles on top.
Finished Card

Tis The Season 25 TTS25

Its a sketch challenge at Tis The Season and I recently watched an older video from Kristina Werner where she make a card simple like this.

I cut out this Simon Says Stamp Die out six times from scratch white card stock and adhered it with Multi Matte Medium.
I used Stampin UP Crumb Cake card stock as my base and used Stampin UP Festival of Prints DSP as my back ground paper. I rounded my corners with my 1/4 inch corner rounder and its hard to see but I used my Stamps of Life Borders dies to cut out some more Crumb Cake card stock to get the scallop on the top of my sentiment.
Close up, Very simple but Very Stunning.

Inside of the card with some more DSP and a inside stamp set by well I did not write the name of it but the stamp set #'s are SSC1147.

A Technique Tuesday stamp for the back, I stamped in coordinating Crumb Cake ink by Stampin UP.

Tis The Season 24 TTS24

I am entering this card in the Tis The Season #24 color challenge to used turquoise, black, and silver. I really wanted to try the technique Jennifer McGuire did in a recent video where she used two ink colors to get an ombre effect.

I stamped two of the ornaments from the Stamps of Life set called Ornaments4Christmas in Stampin UP Tempting Turquoise ink full strength on a 3 3/4 by 5 inch piece of Neenah white card stock.
I inked the stamp again and used a paper towel to dab of some ink from the top half so that when I re stamped over the original it would be darker on the bottom.
Next I am taking a white Color Box ink pad and more heavily inking on top and dabbing some off the bottom.
With clear stamps it makes it easier to stamp right over the original stamp.

I heat set my images on low heat to dry the white ink then tested my paper to see if it was dry.
I stamped in Versa Mark ink the coordinating sets and added some Recollections Silver embossing powder and heat set.
 Ta Da nice and silvery.
I added some Versa Mark ink to the edges of a white 4 inch by 5 1/4 inch piece of card stock and added more Silver embossing powder then heat set.
I added some holes with my pokey tool and added some Stampin UP silver 1/8 inch ribbon, using washi tape behind to hold in place then some strong tape to adhere my panel to the silver one.
Here is the stamp set ornaments4christmas by Stamps of Life.
Finished card.

Close up.

Its not a perfect ombre but for my first time I think I did pretty good.

Sketch, Color Combow, and Anything Goes

I am entering this card into three challenges.

Mojo Monday #362  The sketch
Creative Challenge Club CC12 the color combo + holiday theme
Word Art Wednesday #148 as always anything goes

I used Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles in both packs they currently sell, I also used paper and ink from Stampin UP in the colors Old Olive, Marina Mist, Very Vanilla and Soft Suede.

I used Stampin UP Very Vanilla Taffeta ribbon and the stamp set is called Festival of Trees.

Close Up.

Mojo Monday challenge #361

Mojo Monday has a Sketch every Monday I believe, this is my first card ever for Mojo Monday, this is not my favorite but its a finished card.

Here I am using the Lawn Fawn Monster Mash stamp set and coordinating dies. I stamped in Memonto ink and colored it with my copics on copic paper.
Here is my first and second layer of copics, granted this is my first time ever using copic markers.
Finished Monster, I think he looks pretty good.
I used the Circles Stackables from Lawn Fawn as well to cut a circle from the same copic paper and stamped my monster again in Memento Ink and attached my die cut monster with Stampin Dimensional's.
Here I used two copics to color some scraps of the copic paper and die cut some hearts.

I attached them with some Multi Medium Matte and used my Quick Stick, then I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the hearts.
I used the two lightess grey copics in my set to add a grounding spot under the monster.

My pattern paper came from a 8 1/2 by 11 paper pack by The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby brand).

The ribbon is Basic Black Taffeta ribbon from Stampin UP.
Of course I needed to add a google eye.
I have been buying my Copic Markers one pack at a time from Hobby Lobby using their 40% off coupon, Hobby Lobby has a better selection of packaged Copic Markers then Micheal's.

PTI MIM 178

Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday challenge was to make an easel card. I figures since Halloween is fast approaching I would make mine into a Halloween Easel Card.

I used one of the PTI Monthly Moments die to make my Easel and carried it threw on the edge and bottom of the card.

Just run it back and forth threw your machine about 5 times and it will cut threw both layers.
Here it is cut on the sides, bottom, and the easel part. I used Stampin UP Basic Black card stock.
From Stampin UP Basic Grey card stock cut at 3 inches by 3 inches I ran it threw my The Paper Studio Spider Web Folder.
This is also a PTI die but I don't recall the name of it.
Here is the back after I used some neon orange thread, I always try and make two cards per challenge to build up my stash and my first card I did with black thread then after I had the thought of the neon orange thread. I used some adhesive on the back to hold the thread down as I stitched and Stampin Dimensional on the back.
 Finished before I layer them.
Ta Da, I had other neon colors but I did not want to redo my first black thread one.
Finished front of the black thread spider, I used some Recollection's Halloween Enamel dots on the top.

Finished second spider card wit the orange thread, I used a sentiment from PTI called Keep it Simple : Halloween.

Close up, I stamped the sentiment in Versa Fine Black Onyx then clear embossed it since the ink stays wet a bit.

Inside is also from that same stamp set, all the sentiments in the set fit perfectly in the 3 inch by 3 inch square.
