Stamp Ink and Paper Challenge #63

Over at Stamp Ink and Paper their Challenge #63 is about Wings,

If you would like to play along with the challenge CLICK HERE.

I started off by using a My Favorite Things number die set and cut out two of each using Micheal's 110 pound heavy weight white card stock.
I adhered them temporaily on my Ranger Kraft Mat with some tape runner adhesive and began to lightly add some Spun Sugar distress ink onto them.
I used a Stampin Up butterfly thinlilt and used the same 110 pound heavy weight paper.

I used Victorian Velvet in the center and Worn Lipstick on the edges.

I started with a light touch and then decided to go heavy and make it a bright butterfly.
It is much brighter in person.
Using the same white card stock along with a Lawn Fawn stiched rectangle die.

I added the numbers with some Tombow Mono Glue and added a block on top to give them time to dry.

It does not take long.
Again same white card stock as my base, I taped off the fold line and inked with Victorian Velvet to match the inside of the butterfly.
I also cut the shadow butterfly in Stampin Up Vellum and added a small amount of foam to the center and placed it on top.
Again inked card stock in Victorian Velvet and dried it with my heat tool before embossing in white using a Stamps Of Life set called crazy4 daisies.

I added some more foam and a little bit of Tombow glue on the bottom.
Finished card

Over at Stamp Ink Paper their challenge was a sketch and instanly thought about my recent purchase a Window and Window Box die by Tim Holtz, I got it on clearance for $11.99 at Hobby Lobby.

If you want to play along with the sketch CLICK HERE.

I am using a Stampin UP 6X6 embossing folder that has brick like texture along with Crumb Cake card stock which is cut at 4 by 5 1/4.
I am using the Tim Holtz die and some Soft Suede card stock and cutting it twice to glue together to get more sturdyness.
I lightly traced with a pencil line to know where to stamp.
Selective inking with Summer Sun, Soft Suede, and Gumball Green.

Using a Hero Arts set # CL629.
Using Soft Sky ink to stamp small snowflakes which are also in the set.

After the ink was dry I erased the lines.
Using a blender pen and the cordinating ink I filled in the trees.

I added some gold gems to the tree as well from my stash.
Finished card on a Soft Suede base.

Global Design Project #50

Global Design Project #50 is a Sketch challenge this week and instantly I knew what I wanted to create, this is not an original project there are many designs of this card on Pinterest, the one I followed but tweaked with the supplies I had on had is HERE.

If you would like to play along with the Sketch CLICK HERE.

I used a Simon Says Stamp stencil and some white texture paste and some 110 pound white card stock to create a snow fall background.

Make sure to clean up right when your done because the texture paste dries fast and is hard to remove.
 Close up.
Here are the pieces I punched out for the reindeer.

I used Crumb Cake, Early Esspresso, Whisper White, and Soft Suede.

I did add some red glitter paper from my stash.
I used a Stampin Up flower punch and their Owl Builder punch, I used a snowflake punch from my stash and some old Oval dies from My Favorite Things.
I used some Soft Suede ink and matching card stock to stamp the Hardwood background stamp.

The pieces are 4 by 5 1/4 and and extra one that I stamped the entire piece, the first size I only stamped half.
I added foam to the bottom of the head and liquid glue to add the white piece.
I added liquid glue to the snowflake antlers and after adding the white piece I cut off the bottom of the oval just below it.

I added more foam to the top of the head.
I added foam to the nose and the feet.

I also added a small strip to make the edge look better.

I popped the side rail up with more foam.

Then trimmed off the edges from the back.
Its ok I used scissors and trimmed a sentiment from a Hero Arts set # CL629.
I stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink on some white scrap card stock and matted it on the same glitter paper as the nose.

Put foam on the back.

Used some thick twine for the holder and tapped it down and put the sign on top.
Finished Card

Close up, I added a foam dot and a bow in between the feet

SOS #265

Over at Shop Our Stash their challenge was to use word dies and so I began searching, I looked in my Fall and Halloween boxes and found a Halloween die but couldn't get any inspiration.  So then I turned to my Christmas boxes and found a nice big SNOW die from Papertrey Ink and paired it with a Simon Says Stamp snowflake die called Funky Snowflake.

To join the word die challenge CLICK HERE.

I started by raiding my stash and finding all my 110 pound white card stock and began cutting the SNOW die cut many times.

I also cut the Funky Snowflake as well from the same card stock as well as a top folding card base.
I arranged them to look random but also so you can see that they do spell out SNOW.

I used Tombow Mono liquid glue to adhere the words down and noticed my card base was a little long so I trimmed off the bottom.
Dug into my stash for some circle dies and found one that was slightly bigger then the snowflake.

I die cut it with some Stampin Up Vellum card stock.
Again using Tombow Mono glue I adhered it to the Vellum circle and then I used some Silver thread and looped a lot of it together and adhered it behind the circle.
Finished Card.

Adding Foam to My Stampin Up ink

I decided I wanted to make accessing my Stampin UP ink foam alot easier, I had them in little 3X4 baggies labled with the color in a real big bag.

I took some Velcro circle that you can purchase from practialy any store and just used the velcro part, the one that would stick to the Tim Holtz foam circles.
Here is a view of how they look, I added one near the front, then one in the middle, and finally one on the end, then you repeate.

They do not pull out as freely but the do work it just takes a small minimal effort and an extra 5 seconds.

- I have their Ink pads as shown and the Ink Caddy X2

Ink Blending Labels, Tim Holtz Ink's

I took from Kristina Werner video on How To label your ink blenders and did pretty much exactly what she did, she did a perisocope video on it.

Kristina has a free printable on her blog with all the Tim Holtz ink colors.

I printed it on the card stock I use the most which is a heavy weight brand from the Hobby Lobby brand called The Paper Studio.

I trimmed it with my paper trimmer.
I inked each piece with the cordinating color using my Tim Holtz ink blending tool.
I am using my Xyron sticker maker to make them have full coverage of stickyness.
I ran them down with my finger or bone folder to really press the sticky down.
Adhered them to the side of the ink pad and stuck them in my bin.

Here my bin sets right behind me on my shelf next to stamp sets and my Stampin Up ink.
