Valentines Cards 2022 Design #2

I received a unique fun fold card from my Stampin Up demo and wanted to recreate it with a Valentines twist but not to Valentines.

This pattern Paper from Echo Park is a 12X12 pack called Dots and Stripes.
I cut it to be 5 1/2 wide by 12 inches long.
I scored at 4 inches, 6 inches, and 8 inches.

These were the first three original sizes I cut.
I ended up changing the size for the front panel to fit my sentiment better.
I used Bazzill Paper Basics in Coconut Swirl.

This is a the Stamps of Life die that also has a shadow.

The back panel is a single one sized at 4 1/4 by 5 1/2.
I used Tombow Mono Liquid glue to adhere the panel with a slight amount of white.showing on the right.
Liquid glue gives me a little wiggle room to get the fold to the left edge of the Coconut Swirl card stock.

This is how it looks folded closed.

The top one is after I adhered the trimmed down Coconut Swirl.
I wanted  a thinner border.

I decided I wanted to add some more grey/silver so I pulled out some the Stamps of Life ribbon.
I used some thin double sided adhesive on the inside and outside to wrap the ribbon around the front panel.

Some Stampin Up dimensionals on the back of the main sentiment panel.

I used a few My Favorite Things stamp sets for the inside on the card.
Sweet Celebrations and X's and O's

I used a heart die from my stash, I believe from Stampin Up.
Only a little liquid glue on one side of the heart as so you will not glue your inside card shut.

Finished 3 cards.
Glue dot to secure bow.

I used Date Swirl card stock for the shadow part of the sentiment - Bazzill Paper Basics.
From Stampin Up - Strawberry Slush, Regal Rose, and Pretty in Pink card stock and ink

Inside of the cards.
If I were to make these cards again I think they would pop more on the inside with anouther layer of the matching card stock behind the heart and inside sentiment panel.
But in doing so this card might become more heavy and require more postage.

Valentines Cards 2022 Design #1

I decided to use a New fold it die set from the Stamps of Life called XOXO to create a Valentines card.

I paired the card with some pattern paper from Elle's Studio and a Chipboard sticker as an embellishment.

I used the main die to create a card base using Bazzill Basics Marshmallow card stock.
Main die again to create the main layer of the fold it card using the Stamps of Life Cloud card stock.
Second layer which helps define the XOXO letters if cut out of Blushing Bride card stock from Stampin Up.

This die set comes with add on stitching dies if you choose.
But to get the center of the O you need the stitching dies.
I used scraps for this which is a good way to use them up.

This is the die to cut out the XOXO.
The patter paper from Elle's Studio is called Good Times and Wonder.

Some Stampin Up dimensionals to add some height to the card.

Tombow Mono Liquid Glue to adhere the letters.
I adhered the X's first then the O's to help get spacing just right.

Add liquid glue to the card base, then apply you main panel.
Then you will not get glue where you do not need it.

I am a sucker for hoarding embellishments.
I decided to use these Heart Chipboard Stickers.

These pattern papers are nice 2 sheets of each design in a 8 1/2X6 paper pad.

Finished card.

Side View.

Decided to leave the inside blank.

First Card of 2022

 hello and Happy New Year!

Here is my first card of the Year and hope many more then 2021.

I started off by cutting some the Stamps of Life Powder Sugar card stock 6X6.
I used a Taylored Expression layering snowflake stencil and their Blending Brushes.
I am using Stampin Up ink in Pacific Point and Bermuda Bay.
I also used Narwhal ink from Lawn Fawn.
I made a card base from Pacific Point, puled out some Grey Granite for a layer.
I used Waffle Flower A2 layering dies.
I thought about a sentiment from Taylored Expressions.

Finished card.
Sentiments came from the Stamps of Life and Taylored Expressions.
Envelope came from Hobby Lobby.
Bermuda Bay card stock for a mat around the sentiment.

Back of card and envelope.

I saved some of the stencil pieces to make the inside of the card match.

Close up.
