flamingo back to school teacher card

Alivia's new 5th Grade Teacher loves Flamigo's and Pink and I knew exactly what to use to make a Back to School Teacher Thank You Card.

I started off with some Stamps of Life Licorice ink and Powder Sugar card stock.
I am going to clear heat emboss over this stamp many times using my Hampton Art Stamp tool.

The right is before embossing with the powder still over the black ink.
The left is after adding heat to melt the powder.

All die cut with the matching die.
The stamp, die, and stencil came as a combow from Taylored Expressions.
It is called Tickled Pink.

Stamps of Life ink in -
Watermelon, Candy, Strawberry, Marigold, and Banana.

Just using the stencil to add details.

A blender pen for the feet.
I believe this one is from Stampin Up.

Decided what type of Layer I will have on the front and inside of my card.
I am using Waffle Flower A2 Layering Dies.

This is a stencil from my stash.

I even used Picksy Spray on the back and it still came up.
The J on the to left is a little smudged.

Inside panel with a Tim Holt stencil.

Its ok to cut your stamps they wont scream.

I tried to paint over the J to remove the Pink but it was just not working.
Also the color looked too much like the Flamingo - I used Cherry ink to blend.
I scrapped the idea and used a Hero Arts Alphabet die - left side.
Cut out two times with Strawberry card stock to create a back ground.

Again cutting up my stamps to create a custom sentiment.

Some oval dies from Hero Arts as well.
A card easel die from the Stamps of Life card kit this month.
This is Candy card stock.

Some ribbon from the Stamps of Life card kits held together with Washi Tape.
Foam on the side of my sentiment - middle blank for the ribbon on front.
I die cut three more Powder Sugar flamingo's to glue together to create even raised dimension.

Glue dots to adhere the bow.

Inside of card.

Side view.
I did end up fixing the glue dot next to the T so it would not be covered as much.

Finished card.
I will fix the beak per Alivia before I send out the card.
