Alivia needed a card for her 5th grade Teacher, she said she recently had to put her cat down and wanted a card.
A perfect time to try out the Lattice Card again, this time a Trellis Version.
I also brought out a new flower die that I recently got from the Stamps of Life.
I began making a frame with my rectangle dies A2 from Waffle Flower. |
I am using the Stamps of Life Powder Sugar card stock. |
This is a sentiment strip die from Simon Says Stamp that is the perfect width and length. |
After running threw a Wood Grain embossing folder I inked the edges with a Light Grey ink from my stash. Narwhal from Lawn Fawn. |
I am using score tape/sticky strip around the edges of the frame. |
Eye ball it. |
Cut off edges and save the longer pieces. |
I added some more tape and then crossed them. Added some Tombow Mono Liquid Glue to the centers. |
I cut my card base like normal. After scoring I cut off the other half leaving about just a shy of 1/2 inch. |
This created a hinge. I sand whiched the hinge with the lattice and the second frame. |
It creates a see threw design. |
Using my Sizzix Side Kick. I used some Retired Card Stock from Stampin Up. |
I inked the edges with the matching ink. Using Taylored Expressions Blending Brushes - the mini ones. |
My glass mat helps with inking and is easy to clean. |
Stampin Up dimensionals. |
Tucked in the leaves. |
Finished Card front. |
How it looks flat. The cat die is from my stash. Huge Hugs came from a Card Kit from the Stamps of Life. |
I added a top flap to the inside. I inked and embossed just like the front. Except I used Manatee ink by Lawn Fawn which is a little darker but it works. |
Used the extra flower and cart on the inside to bring interest. I used Chocolate Chip ink for my sentiment stamping. |
The back of the card. |
