Vacation 12X12 Winnie the Pooh

I have been scoring Pinterest to find ideas to boost my Vacation scrap booking and found one that I knew would be quick and easy and it was.

I plan to enter this Layout in the Lasting Memories Layout Challenges, LM #277 challenge-anything goes, as part of their challenge was to show new beginings and this will be part of the Begining of our Vacation Album before the ride we went on which I will do a pocket style scrap book layout.

CLICK HERE to see the original idea.

I am using a thin layer of Tombow Mono Multi glue to adhere my 1/4 inch pattern paper to the 12X12 pattern paper.

There are four strips and will frame the edges of the 12X12 pattern paper.
Wax paper is a must, I am using some thickers to spell out my title.
Using some tape runner adhesive to adhere the hexagons, not being to perfect but trying to stay even.
Finished Layout

Close up, I trimmed my photo to 4X5.

Close up, no journaling because their will be other journaling in the scrapbook (this is going to be a scrapbook of our week vacation in California).
Lilly Bee Designs, where I got my grab bag/box, they are closing so I don’t know how long they will be selling them click here http://www.lilybeedesign.com/

SSS Wednesday Challenge OMBRE

I found my inspiration by searching on google using the words blue ombre ink colors for Stampin UP and it gave me some pictures and other mumbo jumbo and from the picture I found a website with a snowflake blocked pattern card with blue ombre, CLICK HERE to see the card.

To join the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge CLICK HERE.

I am using this stamp set from Stampendous called Happy Messages.

They says happy birthday, hi, hello, hey, friend, thank you, thinking of you, missing you, my friend and two of them repeat in different fonts.
I am using Stampin UP ink in the colors Pool Party, Marina Mist, Island Indigo, Soft Sky, and Night of Navy.
I am using a nice long block because this is a long sentiment.

I am using my grid mat and the lines on my stamping block to make sure my stamp is straight.
I decided to keep the ombre theme and add their matching card stock as well.

Alivia turns 4 October 2015

I decided to scrap Alivia's 4th birthday party for our family project life album, I am in no way done with our family 2015 album and still not done with June, October, November, or December of our 2014 album but that's OK, I am scrapping what I feel and it will get done eventually, luckily I take allot of notes in my planners.
I am also working on the girls school albums as well.

I start by laying out my photos and trimming ones that are accessory with a Becky Higgins 3X4 project life die

Sometimes to be able to use more photos I will use the 3X4 die to cut the photos down and then use an old washi tape to adhere them together to make a makeshift 4X6 card.

I also use a simple inexpensive corner rounder, this is an X-ACTO one that I purchased from Walmart a very long time ago.
I really dislike the new packaging for the core kits but oh well I will preserver.

I am using the Bloom Edition and also Becky Higgins page protectors in Design A and D.
I have a little case that holds all my month, year, and date stamps.

This one is from Papertrey Ink called Monthly Moments: Days of The Week.

I am also using a Amy Tangerine roller date stamp and some Stampin Up ink and Writer Markers.
I am using a Stampin UP butterfly punch and stamp set to create my own add on embellishment to dress up one of my 3X4 cards.
I adhered the butterfly with a little Tombow Mono glue and placed at an angle then cut off the excess.
I am using some Thickers in the style Delight.

Again wax paper is awesome to figure out if the thickers you want work with your project.

I went threw many packs of thickers before I found ones that would fit the title and the color that would work as well.
Using a Stamps of Life stamps set called butterfly2build and stamping on the edge of some scrap white card stock then I will take to my paper trimmer and cut it to make it straight.
Finished first side of the layout.

Little bit of a close up.

I added a random sticker from my stash.

Close up of the second side of the page.

one of the spots I added the cut off sentiment.

The other sentiment.

6X8 Our Favorite Family Recipes Album Cover

I decided to make a small album for out Favorite Family Recipes, I wanted to keep the cover simple and not too bulky or covered with embellishments because this will in time be opened allot and well loved.

I was going to use thickers but couldn't find enough of the same letters in the same colors and didn't want to have to go out and buy any because I was in the mood to do it right now or I wont do it at all.

I found some thick plastic alpha letters that I had purchased a long time ago from Micheal's and Hobby Lobby and decided I should use them and I also figured I should organized them as well so I did both, made my cover and organized all my thick alpha letters.

To make the album level I just used something from my desk and stuck it in the middle of the album and VIOLA it is level.

If you would like to see the first recipe regarding how to make apple chips CLICK HERE.
I used a old paint brush and some Multi Matte Medium to adhere the letters, if you look closely after it dries you can see some of the glue but not much.

Only a crafter would notice.
And that's it, super simple and I let it dry for about an hour on another desk in my craft room.

I had this Iris case that was empty and decided to fill it up with all my Alpha's.

This can fit quite a few alphas, I believe there are at least 4 packages of them.
I do not believe Micheal's sells them any more but Hobby Lobby does have some available.

Packaging for Woven Heart hair clips

I wanted to create some cute packaging for my latest alligator clips and barrette clips, Woven Heart.

To get the Tutorial for the Woven Heart alligator clips and barrette clips CLICK HERE.

I used a Jillibean Soup pocket die 2/Scallop Edge to cut out the holder.

I used some paper from my stash a nice thick decent paper weight works best, this paper came from an old card kit from Simon Says Stamp.
I am using a Stamps of Life Love word die and the matching shadow die to cut out of more old card kit papers.

The tag die is a retired Stampin UP die that I believe went with the Hearts of Flutter die set.

I will be using Tombow Mono glue, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, and hot glue to put the pieces together.

I used Stampin UP Heart Framelits die sets, the two smallest hearts.

I also used paper clips that I purchased from the local $1 store, they have many colors and sizes.
Here is what they look like put together.

I will put the hearts on top of each other to create a cute paper clip to attach and help seal the package.
I pre folded the pocket and had my glue gun heating up while cutting out all my pieces.

I used a low temp glue gun and added a small line of hot glue along the folded sides on the right of the picture.
Here are the alligator and barrette clips I will be putting in the pocket.

The Tutorial can be found HERE.
I put one face down and slid the other face up right next to it.
Finished Pocket

I used a hole punch and some twine from my stash to attach the tag to the paper clip.  I also used a To and From stamp and some brown ink from my stash.

Apple Chips (Project Life Recipe Album 6X8)

I printed out these three photos of the apple chips I have been making since the weather has been cooler and decided hey I can just start making that recipe album that I have been wanting too do for a long time.

I am using a Becky Higgins 6X8 album in red with white polka dots that I picked up at my local Micheal's store, its called Ladybug.

I store most of my 6X8 page protectors in an album with dividers that can be easily accessible when I need them, CLICK HERE for that post on which kind I use and how I store them.

Again wax paper is a must in your craft room not only if your a card maker but also a scrapbooker, project lifer, or any other type of crafter.

I placed my alpha sticker on it to make sure I had enough alphas to spell out my tittle.

These alphas are from Lilybee Designs their Destination collection.
Since there are multiples of cards when you purchase Becky Higgings project life kits I glued two together for this 3X4 card, it came from the Polka Dot Party mini kit designed by Dear Lizzy.

I added a apple sticker to the bottom corner from one of the $1 sticker packs that you would usually get your kids.
I added two flags from a Simple Stories sticker pack back to back to make a flag so you can pull out the recipe card.
I added a little word phrase sticker from Little Yellow Bicycle, that says make today special.
Finished Page.

November 2015 Treats for Family Project Life

I made this spread to go behind the one for our Harvest Meal Spread.

I am using a combination of lilybee Designs and Lawn Fawn for the Alpha stickers in this title.

I like to use wax paper to make sure they fit which I realized they don't but I still want to use them so I will make them work.
I am using a Becky Higgins Project Life core kit called Seasons Edition and am glad they send multiples of the cards for times when my Stampin UP writer markers are out of ink, I just traded out the cards from the pocket I was already designing, these two are the same card.

The color is Early Espresso by Stampin UP
I am using a 3D embellishment sticker from my stash to add to the center of this 3X4 card, I felt it just fit.
I am going to use this 8 1/2 by 11 inch pattern paper to make my own 3X4 journal card because again it just fit.
I am using some small enamel dot stickers that are gold glitter to be my bullet points of the bird seed ornament recipe card.

This is Design A page protector by Becky Higgins.
Finished layout

Close up, I made it work so I wouldn't have to change the alpha stickers.
