The challenge is called Mary Had a Little Lamb, (use farm animals).
If your would like to join along with the challenge CLICK HERE.
I started off by gathering my supplies, some Clear Embossing Powder, Versa Fine Black Onyx ink. Masters Touch 4X6 water color paper, my Peerless water colors, and two stamp sets.
One from Stampin UP called Barnyard Babies and one from My Pink Stamper called A Punny-Licious Christmas.
I am using my Stamp-a-ma-jig for the little Christmas hat in the Barnyard Babies set.
I cut the 4X6 water color paper down too 3 3/4 by 5 inches.
I used my powder tool to prep my paper and since Versa Fine Black Onyx ink stays wet longer you can emboss with it.
I randomly stamped the cows all over and I also am makeing a sheep one as well.
Here it looks after embossed, see the shinny layer.
After stamping and embossing both the cow and sheep panels I began to work with the sheep first.
I am using Peerless water colors to color and a spray bottle along with a piece of 8 1/2 by 11 paper in a page protector.
Here I sprayed two piles and have one with clean water and one with my colored water.
I wet the paper and then dropped in color, after a few seconds I dried my paint brush off on a wash cloth and soaked up the color and it just leaves a nice lighter color.
The right corner is before soaking up the extra color and the one right above it is after.
I did the same with the red hats.
And the grass.
I had just finished coloring when low and behold I dropped my paint brush full of brown ink and made that splatter on the lower left.
So I rolled with it and added more splatters because I was not going to start again.
I took the My Pink Stamper stamp called A Punny-licious Christmas and cut up the sentiment called 'all I want for Christmas is ewe!"
Its OK it did not scream.
I white embossed it one Early Espresso paper from Stampin UP.
I added the water color piece on a mat of Early Espresso with double sided tape.
I added the sentiment strips using foam to cover up my ut oh splatter.
