March Pin Sights Challenge Via Ellen Hutson

I am entering this card in the Ellen Hutson challenge for March, their Pin Sights challenge.

I used one of the designers entries as my inspiration.

I used my Kuretake palate #91 in the gold color and added some water too it and pooled it onto a sheet protector with card stock inside.
I am using Essentials by Ellen stamp set called Bohemian Garden.

I am smooshing it in the ink pool and tapping the excess off.

I will be doing this over and over again using up alot of the ink pool.
Stamping on Tim Holtz water color paper in a random pattern and moving the stamp around.
The mess of the pooled water color and some of the shiny stamping.
Again trying to get some of the Shinny to show off by tilting the card stock panel.
I included this but changed my mind and stamped on white card stock with the pooled gold water color.

And yes I cut my stamp and it did not cry, its from Clearly Besotted called Dandelion Dreams.
I cut the panel down and put it on a Vellum panel and then added some fun foam behind that.

The card base is in Mossy Meadow from Stampin UP along with the Vellum.

I added some gold thread looped around behind the sentiment.
Finished card.

Bunny Juice Boxes 2016

I made some Mummy juice boxes for Alivias pre school class for Halloween and wanted to do something similar for Easter.

Trusty Pinterest for the Win, I changed up the many Bunny Juice box ideas so that I could use what I had on hand.

Started out with juice boxes any kind and flavor you want. Alivia picked these out while we were at Walmart.

You need to remove the straws, I add them in a plastic bag and put with the juice boxes for her teachers.
I am using heavy weight card stock.

I measured my juice box.
It is a good idea to add 1 inch to the length so that you can wrap it around the box.

So my first cut is 7 1/2 inches long.
Then I will cut it to 4 1/2 inches wide.
I put the juice box in the middle and added to post it notes to make sure its in the middle and to prepare for my stamping.
I am using this Playful Pals stamp set and Baked Brown Sugar ink and Primrose Petals ink to stamp the face.
I am using a My Favorite Things Oval Stitch die to cut out ears from the remainder of the scraps of paper.
Using some score tape to adhere the juice box to the heavy weight card stock.
Place the juice box in the middle and add the ears with scotch tape and then wrap the rest of the paper around the juice box.
Using the matching Primrose Petals marker to color in the inside of the ears and the eyelashes.
Alivia picked out the "Tails" and adhered them to glue dots.
She picked them off and added them to the back of the bunny's.

Beach 12X12 Layout Alivia October 2015

This 12X12 layout will go behind Alexis beach layout which you can see by CLICKING HERE.

Also I have two printable 8 1/2 by 11 inch pages that will go before the 12X12 CLICK HERE to see those.

I saw a layout on Pinterest and just new it would be perfect for Alivia few photos on the beach.

At the very end of this post will be links to the products I used if available, if not available I will still put the names of the products I used.

I started of by using my Fiskar paper trimmer and trimmed some of the photos but kept them together for the most part.

Using a 12X12 blue sheet of card stock as the main base or the layout I placed my photos first in the middle and then used my T-Squared ruler to meause how long and wide my ocean pattern paper needed to be as well as accounting for a small blue border.
I used StazOn to stamp this whale and die cut it out from this cordinating card stock from the same pack as the back ground.
Added the foam to the back of the whale and liquid glue to the water dropplets.

The photos and pattern paper I adhered with regular tape runner adhesive.

The quick stick works great for adhering the little water drops.

Beach 12X12 Layout Alexis October 2015

Needing a jump start or kick in my but to get caught up scrap booking and project lifeing I started with my most recent photo prints and wanting to scrap lift this beach sketch I saw on Pinterest.

At the very end of this post will be links to the products I used if available, if not available I will still put the names of the products I used.

I am entering this Layout over at Scrapbook.com in the category Girls only.

I started out by printing out five of the same photo and cutting one down to just Lexi girl standing on the beach.  The other four I cut off her body and kept the biggest portion.

I matted them on some card stock with a border of about 1/4 inch all around.
I cut some coordinating card stock in colors from the same pack ranging from 1/4 of an inch to 1 3/4 of an inch.

I layed them out and trimmed them to the length I wanted.

Using regular tape runner adhesive to adhere them towards the bottom middle of the 12X12 white card stock.
When you can find these at Micheal's during their $5 dollar buy they are fantastic for backgrounds for scrap booking and they cut wonderfully in the Cricut Machine.

The only draw back is the texture so sometimes stamping takes longer to dry or I blot some ink off with a tissue.
The far two photos are taped down with regular tape runner adhesive the second inside photos have one layer of foam and the main photo has two layers of foam.
Using my trusty wax paper to align and make sure my thickers and letter sticker will fit I spell out my title.
I found the background was too white and had too much white space, so I used a linen stamp and some soft brown ink and stamped around the edges. I used a tissue to remove some of the ink from the stamp before stamping.
Here is a close up of what it looks like before I decided to add some ink blending to it with the same color.
Using an ink blender and the same ink I blended the lines to make them softer and bring the light brown ink closer to the photos.
Using a T-squared ruler and the end of the poky tool to align the title to make sure it is straight.
 Close up.
Finished Layout I am very happy with how it turned out.

I didn't do any journaling because I will have more photos behind this layout in a project life style layout that will tell the story of our beach day in San Diego California.
