Friend Card #2

Here is the second card I made in the new craft room of our new home.

I am really enjoying this space.

I am using my Tim Holtz media mat to blend my inks in the colors Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, and Black Soot.

I used Bristol Smooth card stock and my Taylored Expressions blender brushes.
 Started off with my pink.
Then added the purple on edges, blending between the colors to create a seemless blend.
I added black around the edges and slightly in the center.

Trying to go for a Northern Lights feel.
Some Titanium White paint for some stars.
Some watered down Pearlex Aztec Gold powder to create some shimmer and more stars.
A close up with the flash on.
Not a new die but a die I have not used before.

I cut out two from black card stock.
I stamped the inside with the rock and roll technique and also stamped off once then onto the inside to make it not so intense.
Finished card.

I added a gold embossed sentiment.

One a Blackberry Bliss top folding card base and a couple of strips of Melon Mambo card stock.
Close up, no foam dimension on this card, I left it all flat.
Close up of the inside of the card.

I used Melon Mambo and Blackberry Bliss ink for the inside.

Friend Card #1

I decided to make a few cards for my friends now that we are mostly settled in our new home and I have my very nice large craft room now.

My creativity was flowing and decided to bring out some new product.

This stamp set I have had for a while but not really used and have found it has some great encouragement sentiments.

Its from MFT and called Complimentary Greetings.

I used my Hampton Art Stamp Tool to stamp them all out using MFT ink called Black Licorice.
This is a new die set that I purchased recently from MFT called Straight Up Rainbow.
I used some white card stock from my stash for the cloud faces.

I used Stampin Up card stock for the rays.
- Riding Hood Red, Tangelo Twist, Crushed Curry, Garden Green, Night of Navy, and Rich Razzleberry.
After cutting them out I added them onto copy paper with my tape runner adhesive.
I added some foam to the rays after I cut them out from the copy paper.

My card bases are our of Cool Caribbean.
I added foam to each side of the sentiment and the bottom of the cloud.

I also added a bit of tape runner to the other areas of the sentiment and cloud.
Alas, I added some gems from Hobby Lobby. The one other sad thing about Alaska, no Hobby Lobby.
I have 5 more of these cards in my stash now.

I made these top folding cards, adhered the blue panel flat.

I also used Tombow Mono Liquid glue for the gems.
