CAS(E) this SKetch #215

I loved the sketch for CAS(E) this Sketch #215, I instantly thought of the Hey, Chick stamp set from Stampin UP and wanted to stack them on top of each other.  I also pulled out my Distress Markers to color them and stamp with them.

I started off by coloring the big bird.

I used barn door, frayed burlap, weathered wood, and ripe persimmon.
Using my stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure I get my chicken in the right spot.
I used barn door, ripe, persimmon, and wild honey for the tall chicken.
Again the stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure i get the tall chicken to stand on the chickens back.
I used antique linen and wild honey.
Since the stamp-a-ma-jig transfer sheet was on my desk I used it to scribble on color and use my water brush to color the chickens and egg in.
I used weathered wood, antique linen, and wild honey to add some light splattering to the back ground to give some texture and interest.
I kept the panel as tall as the card base and took off 1/2 inch from the sides.

I am using grey fun foam to pop up my panel before adding it to my 110 Pound Grey card stock from Micheal's.
The sentiment on the front and inside come from a My Pink Stamper set called A Punny-licious Birthday.

Global Design Project #080

I found inspiration from THIS card on Pinterest, so I decided to join in on the Global Design Project #080 Challenge called case the Designer.

I turned the design into a Sympathy card.

I started off using a new tool that I purchased from Hobby Lobby from the Stamps of Life, its the Stampers Secret Weapon.

I have some scrap 8 1/2 by 11 card stock on top of it, that is how huge this is, you an see some of the black foam on the edge.
I am using 110 pound white card stock from Micheal's.

I am also using a stamp set from Stampin Up called Bunch of Blossoms.

I am basicly making my own pattern paper.
Just keep filling in your paper.

Make sure to twist and turn your images.
 All done.

I sized this to 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 but will eventually trim it down 1/4 inch on two sides.
I am using Stampin Up ink.

the solid colors are Wisterial Wonder and Certainly Celery.

.
The outline colors are Perfect Plum and Lucky Limeade.
 Done with the stamping.

The card base will be Perfect Plum card stock.
I am using my Hampton Art Stamp Perfect tool to stamp my sentiment with Tip Top Taupe ink.

Using a Hero Arts set for the sentiments.
Using the same ink and stamp set I used the cordinating punch to punch out two leaves and a flower.

Adhering them with foam and tape runner.
Finished card and front of envelope.

Inside of card and back of envelope.

CAS(E) this Sketch #214

Over at the CAS(E) this Sketch blog their Challenge #214 seems pretty easy enough.  I recently re arranged my stamp sets and I knew exactly the one I needed to use and I have not used it until now I added some wood veneer from my stash that I rarely use and came up with two Guy cards.

I started off with some 110 Pound Cream card stock that I cut in half to make two top folding cards.

I used a stylus to score and folded it while it was still on my Martha Stewart scoring board and my bone folder to smooth out the crease.
I am using Tip Top Taupe ink and card stock.

I am trying out this new set of Fiskars stamping blocks as well that I recently purchased from Hobby Lobby.
These little raised edges are supposed to help keep your fingers clean from ink.

So far so good.
I am begining to like them. this is my third and forth card making them.

I am just creating a pattern and remember to go off the page and stagger your placement.
This though is very inky but I am using the block to press down a wood veneer set of glasses into the ink pad.
I have some scrap paper on a wood clip board and going to heat embossing with clear over the inked wood veneer.
 First layer.
 Second layer.
I did three layers, and remember to let them cool inbetween.

I am using a ruler and pencil to lightly mark above and below the wood veneer and sentiment.
Tombow Mono Liquid glue to adhere the wood veneer pieces.

Place a clear block on top of the glasses for a bit to let the glue dry.
Finished cards.

Look at that shine and gloss, its smooth too.
I think this can be a girl card as well because you can change out the color to a more girly color.

Lawn Fanatics 1st Challenge

Over at the Lawn Fanatics their first challenge is a Birthday one so I dug up some Lawn Fawn supplies and combined them with other companys from my stash.

I am using a Lawn Fawn Alpha stamp set and a ballon die set along with a Stamps of Life Birthday die.
These are my scrap papers I used for ink blending the balloons.

I used a variety of Tim Holtz ink colors.

I added more ink to the left side and lighter on the right side.
I used some scrap black card stock that had adhesive on the back already to cut out balloon strings.
I used Versa Mark Black Onyx ink and some foam adhesive.

I do end up changing the layout just a bit in the end.
Some scrap fun foam to give the panel some lift.

I cut the strings smaller and made a panel that was the same width as the card but 3 1/2 inches tall to give a border of the colored card base.

The card base is 110 pound colored card stock new to Micheal's craft store.
Finished card.

The yellow and orange was the first I stamped but I like the blues one the best.
