Frog Unfrog-getable

I found a new Challenge Blog called Cuttlebug Mania and decided to join in on this tough challenge, I had to use a frog.

Would you like to join in on the challenge Click Here.

I looked up frog cards on Pinterest and found this one.

I changed the colors and products used to make this a guy card.

I am using my Cricut Expression machine to cut out my images.

I need a new mat but like to get the most out of my mats so I have some washi tape holding down my card stock.
This is my Gpsy and I am able to size and get rid of lines from the images I do not want on the final cut.

I used Create A Critter cartridge booklet as my guide.
Does any one else still have this machine and their gpsy.
Since this is a Cuttle Bug challenge I brought out mine, my first ever die cutting machine.

I am embossing my back ground with two different folders, a swirl for the water and clouds for the sky.
I am using Bazzil card stock which matches most of my Stampin Up inks.

Also some back ground stamps to give some texture to my images.
I used Stampin UP back ground stamps, one is an older wood grain and one is a marble.
I found a smile stamp but it was a bit to wide so I inked it up and used a baby wipe to remove some ink from both sides of the smile.

I added some google eyes to my frog and also a stamped flower for the belly.
A combonation of liquid glue and foam dots to put the project together.
Fun Foam for the main panel and a Hexagon punch to make a banner end for my sentiment.
Finished card, I used the same wood grain stamp to add texture to the main card base.

Another close up.

Paper Bag Turkey 11/2016

Again working on some scrapbooking, this time from 2106.  A paper bag Turkey even held by the girls school.

I started off by cutting in half a Design D page protector from Becky Higgins Project Life brand.
I am feeling the square corners look here lately so I trimmed my photos 3X4 for the inside spots.
I am using some pattern paper from Micheal's Craft Store and I also cut that down to 3X4.

I am thinking about using the Journal/Filler card.
I am using some word stickers to adorn my photos as embellishments.

I also used a teach die from Simon Says Stamp to cut out some of the blue pattern paper.
Here is that filler 3X4 card from the pattern paper pack that I decided to cover the words with stickers.

I liked the blue but not the font in the end.
Some of the pattern paper and stickers to go with my hand written journaling.

I like to mix typing out my journaling and hand writing it to give variation and preserve my hand writing for the girls and their generations to see.
Finished first side.

2017 Gymnastic Photo Shoot Scrapbooking Layouts

I decided to dig into some easy Scrapbooking this evening and found these photos of Alivia's last year in Gymnastics. Shortly after the photo shoot she fractured her Tiba bone and we decided to stop gymnastics also because she would be attending Kindergarten the following fall.

I am using a 8 by 10 photo page protector from Becky Higgins and a page protector that I must have cut apart because I can not find the info on it.

I started off by cutting my photos to the size I needed and adhering them with washi tape.

In the end they will be 4X6.

This is a very heavy photo layout.
I used the notes section on my phone to add my journaling and printed it and realized it was too wide so I used my 3X4 card to see where I needed to make it smaller.

I am not good with computer stuff and this is my way of printing my journaling.
I like to cut stickers from their sheets because it makes it easier to see exactly where I would like them and be able to move them around.
This is the back of the Main profesional photo.

A little close up, I added the gymnastics sticker to the pattern paper and also a nice strip of cameras and put it all on wood grain pattern paper.
This is the first photo of the 4 page spread.
This page has 4 slots, one 4X6 on top and bottom and 2 3X4 in the middle.
I added more of the stickers to this photo and used more of the pink pattern paper to make my own 3X4 filler card.

Again more camera paper as a filler card, a doile that I found in my stash as well as anouther sticker.

The other side.

Watermelon card

I decided I wanted to do another watermelon card because you know we just had a Blizzard named Ulmer come threw.

Here is my inspiration card photo.

Here are the main supplies, I did bring in black.

I am using Lemon Lime Twist as my card base and a panel of Watermelon Wonder as well.

A sliver of white to fill the seam and the Emerald Envy for part of the rine.
I knew the rine of the water melon was going to be 1 1/4 inch so I cut my Emerald Envy to 3/4 inch wide to get a nice border of that bright Lemon Lime Twist.

I cut the Emerald Envy wonky but still left straight edges on the sides.
Here is the Heavy Weight black card stock I brought in using the Owl Punch for the hearts.
I attached the Watermelon wonder panel to the left and then added the white strip which is 1/4 inch wide.

I used Tombow Mono Liquid glue to adhere every thing.

That wonky cut makes the rine part look cool I think.
I stamped my sentiment in Versa Fine Black Onyx ink and used a fun stitched square which is from My Favorite Things I think.

The sentiment is from a club set called watermelon2stamp which is a Stamps of Life company.
Finished card.

I poped the sentiment up with some foam.
I used Emerald Envy ink to stamp another sentiment from that set.

Rooster card with Wood grain and Foil accents

I wanted to make a card using the Stampin Up Home To Roost stamp set and set about Pinterest to find some Ideas, here is my inspiration card.

With this intracate die cut from Momenta there were some little paper almost like slivers.

I wrapped some Washi Tape around my fingers and pressed on the back of the die cut all over to get the fuzzies/slivers off and give it a cleaner cut.
This is a light blue foil paper from a 6X6 pack from my stash.

I used my Gemini Junior to die cut the panel and it worked beutiful and cut everything out just fine.
I am using a wood grain back ground stamp and some Tip Top Taupe ink on 110 pound Cream card stock.
Using a Dollar Store make up sponge I am applying some Sahara Sand ink to give more definition.
Bringing in some Cajun Craze card stock which will also be my card base.

Some Oval dies from my stash that have stitching, not sure which brand they are from.

Stamped the rooster in Versa Fine Black Onyx ink.

Using copics and Stampin Blends to color my rooster.
The Versa Fine ink did bleed a little and I am OK with that, I forgot this was not the right ink for alcohol markers but I made it work.
Finished Card

I used Tombow Mono Liquid Glue to adhere the foil piece to the wood grain and the rooster to the other oval.

Foam dimension on the rooster peice and sentiment.

Double sided adhesive on the main panel and the inside one.
I used Sahara Sand ink and lightly inked the wood grain stamp again to add interest to the inside.

The main panel and the one on the inside are sized 4 inches by 5 1/5.
