Wedding Card

A simple but elegant Wedding card.

This is a stamp from Inkadinkado called Wedding, I stamped it in Versafine Black Onyx ink.

This pictures shows how I measure my paper.  I take the stamp and lay it on my grid mat and as you can tell its roughly 2 inches wide by 3 inches tall. So that is how I will cut my white mat which is left over from a Simon Says Stamp Card Kit and for my black mat at 1/8 of and inch bigger which is Basic Black from Stampin up.
I didn't like how this stamped on the inside so I redid it and used my Stampin Up Curly label punch to punch it out. I also cut two more out of the Basic Black and cut them in have and used them as the mat and adhered it to the inside of the card to cover up my boo boo.
Much better stamped image.  Again from the same stamp set in the Versafine Black Onyx ink.
Finished card.

Close up.

I used the Floral Embellishment's from Recollections and made the flowers and added a black pearl also from Recollections.

The "Happy Wedding" is stamped again in the Versafine Black Onyx ink and used the Word Window Punch from Stampin up.  I glued that onto Basic Black and trimmed it out to leave a small border.

The back ground is ran threw a embossing folder from The Paper Studio and I glued the embossed side down so its actually back words but I liked it much better that way, seemed like it gave it a softer look.

Horse Birthday For a Girl

Yay, Cricut Machine I have missed you, I got a request at work to make a Horse Birthday card for a girl and I had no stamps or paper that is rodeo or horse themed. Probably because I only have girls in the house so I may need to keep an eye out for horse things in the near future.

I decided to look through my Cricut Cartridge's and I found Create A Critter and on Page 59 in the hand book there was a HORSE, YAY, found my starting point. The next thing I did was grab my Gypsy and size the horse and hide the marks that I didn't not want the Cricut to cut, I guess I have herd people call those marks, "Tick Marks".

Found a  stripped pink paper from a Studio G 6x6 paper pad that I had recently purchased from Micheals and also used some Recollection Floral Embellishment's that Micheals had on clearance a very long time ago and made a nice embellishment to go on top of the bandanna. The pearl is a light pink and also from the Recollections brand.

I used scraps of Recollection paper for my horse and words, they were cut at 2.5 inches. My poor Cricut mat is getting less sticky and I cant part to open a new one up so I have been using some old Washi tape that I had a double of to tape my paper to my mat, Hey it works so why not.

The Twine is not really Twine, I guess this product is called Floss and its from Sew Easy and in the color of Pine cone.

I used Scriblles 3D paint in Shiny Black for the hooves and eyes and as you can see by the picture i smeared it at the very end, ERRRRR.   Redo and Re cut, such is life.

The inside is a dollar stamp that just say "Live it up its your Birthday".

Finished Card.

Close up of the face and flower embellishment on the bandanna.

Side view, Horse is on dimensional.
My poor poor Cricut mat.

A little tip, I put some adhesive on the ends and that way I don't was as much wrapping it around the card and then enforce with some Washi Tape that I have a double of or that I don't care for.

EEK, I always smear, well at least 75% of the time.

Dress Birthday Card

Here is another Birthday card that I made last night for a special Long distance friend that I text more then actually see.

I used a new die that I have been wanting to play around with for a while and can I tell you Pinterest has tons of ideas on how to use this die set.  Just type in the search label Stampin up Dress up Framelits.

The pink, white and black papers are from my stash and are from Recollections (which is the Micheals brand).

The Chevron paper I recently got at Micheals as well and it came in a small 6X6 paper pack for I think $1.50.

I cut the dress twice so I cold get the little jacket, I just cut oh about 1/8 of an inch out of the middle.

The ribbon is supper old and I think my mom may have given it to me, its from a company called Spool O' Ribbon.

The pearls are from Hobby Lobby and are the brand called The Paper Studio.

I Used a Stamp set from Simon Says Stamp Card Kit for February 2013 for the sentiment on the outside and the hangers in the background.

The inside is a Stampin up Stamp from a hostess set called Wacky Wishes.

I used a border punch by Martha Stewart and Stampin up ink from the Brights Collection called Melon Mambo.

Again I clear embossed it right after I stamped it (embossing powder is the Recollections brand from Micheals).

The framelits I used are from Stampin Up and are called Dress Up Framelits.

Along with my Stamps Of Life Club membership I also get the monthly Simon Says Stamp Card Kit.

These are two great company's for beginner's.

Birdy Birthday Card

The Trees2Build stamp set from The Stamps of Life has got to be one of my favorite stamp sets.

I made this Birdy Birthday Card Monday night and just love it.

My All time FAVORITE Stampin up paper is their Naturals Paper, it comes in white and ivory.

The paper has tiny blackish flecks in it, perfect for the tree card.

I decided to round the two bottom corners to tie into the curves of the leaves.

I stamped the Sentiment in Stampin ups Early Espresso (another go to ink, its in the Neutrals Collection) and then right after I put clear embossing powder on it and used my heat tool.

The Clear embossing powder is from Micheals the Recollections brand.

Also the Branches are stamped in Early Espresso.
Another recent obsession of mine is CLIPS, whether they are paper clips or fun shaped clips.

This is a Speech bubble clip from Stampin up. They come in a cute case of 24, eight each of three designs.   Hung up Cute Clips is what they are called.
The leaves I stamped in Stampin ups Garden green ink which is in the Regals collection.

The Bird is stamped in Stampin ups Not Quite Navy in which is also in the Regals collection.

I used a cheap water pen and colored it in with the ink.
I outlined the bird in the Stampin up Basic Black marker and also used the Stampin up Not Quite Navy marker to make my pho stitching around the edges.

So as you can see you don't need to buy just Stampin Up supplies you can use their inks and paper with other Stamp sets.

I really do enjoy the stamp sets from The Stamps Of Life and I'm a club member so I get a stamp set delivered to my door each more.  GO NOW and check them out.
