Leaf Fold it - Inked and Splattered

I am participating in anouther Swapp and this is my first card.

I will be sending the Cranberry Leaf to my Swapp Partner and keeping the Marigold one for my stash.

I am using the Fold-It part of the die set ( outer die that says place fold here)
All card stock today is from the Stamps of Life.
Card base in Vanilla and first layer in Chocolate.

Second layer in Vanilla.
This Fold-It set comes designed to also be a shaker.

Main Leaf is two dies.
Like Leaf veins does not cut out only adds the lines cut.
It is easy to center in the smallest die and if it is off a little its OK no one will ever know.
I cut that from Gingersnap card stock.

I am making two Leaf Fold-its.
One is based ink layer of Cranberry.
One is based ink layer of Marigold.

One the edges of both I used Twig.
This ink I brought in further with inking and went around all edges.
Also around the vines.

Next layer I kept to one side of each leaf and not as deep and heavy.
Its the Chocolate color.

Final color is Forever Black and very lightly.
Taylored Expressions mini Blending Brushes work great for this.

I then just for good measure added more Cranberry and Marigold ink to each leaf.
Help all the colors blend.

Tim Holtz paint and some water.
Older kids toothbrushes - we have so many.
A cream (antique linen ) and dark brown ( ground espresso )

Add as much or as little as you want.

This Tim Holtz small Mixed Media Mat worked great for this project.

Heidi Swapp Color Shine.

Gold for both.
Peach for the Marigold Leaf.
Cherry for the Cranberry Leaf.

Twig card stock and Blessings die from Paper Smooches.
I inked the top and bottom of each to blend with their cards.

Also cut two Vanilla Layers.
Glued them ever so slightly ascue.

Turkey Fold-it into a Stand Up card

I wanted to make a Thanksgiving card so I brought out my the Stamps of Life Turkey Fold-it (sorry no longer available) and also the Stamps of Life Word Stand-up card die set.

I started off by using the main die to make an impression on a scrap piece of Vanilla card stock from Stampin Up.
Decided to pull out a 12X12 pattern paper pack from Micheal's called Thankful Heart.

I am using just the card die part of the Word Stand-Up card die set.
Crumb Cake card stock from Stampin Up.

I trimmed around the inside lines of vanilla turkey.

I began by using Tombow Mono Liquid glue to adhere my paper pieces.

I cut out the shadow / card base part of the fold it.
The body is also cut from this color Chocolate Chip from Stampin Up.

More pattern paper.
This card die comes with two layering dies - one with and one without stitching.
I cut a total of 8 layering pieces.

This Happy Thanksgiving die and shadow is from the Stamps of Life.
I will trim the Happy away.

Almost finished turkey - needs eyes and nose.

I like to use a combonitation of Liquid Glue and Sticky Tape.

Only glue half of your turkey because you want him to stand up.

There is a notch in this die that the card front slide on to.

See how I only added glue to the bottom half.

Finished Card

How it will look when the receiver takes it out of the envelope.
I could not help but add google eyes.

This is what it looks like open.
I stamped happy from a Simon Says Stamp set called BE

Three Thankful Cards

I pulled out this Taylored Expressions Argyle stamp and stencil combo because it always reminds me of Charlie Brown.

I went to Pinterest for some inspiration and found this Photo.

I started off with my Hapmton Art Stamp Postitioner.
I am using Stampin Up ink and Card stock today.

This is a confetti card stock - older from Stampin Up.
I am heat embossing it in clear over Early Espresso ink.

This board is a cheese/cutting board from the Target $1 spot a few years ago.

I started of with the first stencil.
They have little x marks that you line up with the lines we embossed.
First off Midnight Muse ink.

Next True Thyme ink.

Finally Hello Honey Ink.
I used Taylored Expressions mini blending brushes.
I pulled a thankful die with shadow - not sure the company.

These leaves came from the Stamps of Life Acorn Fold-it die.

Decided to add some splatter with perfect pearls.

Finished 3 cards.

I used cordinating card stock for each card.

The inside has some extra ink blended pieces after cutting down the panel with my Waffle Flower A2 layering dies.
