Halloween Stamps Sets # 1-3

I figured I could start posting some of my accquired stamps and link some cards as well.

As I make future cards using these stamp sets I will add them to the list.

I am starting off with three Technique Tuesday stamp sets that I purchased withing the last two years (yeah I cant remeber). These stamps are Photopolymer and sized at 4X3 inches.  They have a nice varienty of images and sentiments for both the inside and out side of your cards and envelopes.  They are on sale alot of the time on the website which is of course how I purchased them.

These are the three sets I currently own from Technique Tuesday.

Broom Riders is the name of this set, it is designed by Lori Vilegen, normal price $9.99

I made this card using all of the stamps click here

Boo is the name of this set, its designed by Lori Vilegen as well, normal price is $9.99

I made this card using a sketch, I used all but one of the sentiments from the stamp set on the card.

Eek is the name of this set and is normaly priced at $9.99

I used the tiny star on this card.
I used the spider and the eek sentiment on this card.

Easy Project Life way to store Valentines

I have been keeping my daughters school Valentines from her friends in a plastic bag in my need to scrap box trying to find a way to save them with out the bulk and I found it.

So here I took a 9 pocket page protector sized at 8 1/2 by 11 inches and cut some cheap card stock from Micheal's down to the pocket size.

I choose pink because of Valentines day.

I trimmed down the Valentines and put the child's name on the side or bottom of the pink card stock to remember who gave it to my Daughter.

Freshly Made Sketches #197

Again working on some card boxes for gifts, the holidays will be here before we know it.  I decided to take this sketch and make it a Halloween card, I went ahead and made five of them, I normally make two at a time but because the holidays will be here soon and I give out allot of card boxes I need to start making five of each design and sketches help allot.

Head on over to Freshly Made Sketches and play along.

I started off using this stamps set from Technique Tuesday, I used Stampin UP Smokey Slate and Pumpkin Pie ink along with Memento Black ink.

To get the perfect sized panell I lay out my stamps on my grid mat and viola you know what size to cut your mat.
The inside of the card, I love making the inside, back and envelope coordinate and it allows you to use almost all the stamps on a stamp set, I also used a smalled star from another Halloween Technique Tuesday stamp set.

Using Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, and Smokey Slate ink.
This is a Stamps of Life back of the card stamp that I used Smokey Slate ink and Memento ink for the bat.

I colored the treat bag in with Stampin right markers.
Finished card, I added the mat with foam squares.

Close up, the pattern paper came from a 8 1/2 by 11 Trick or Treat stack from Hobby Lobby.

CAS(E) this Sketch #134

I needed to make some Christmas cards to go into my end of summer card boxes that I am making for coaches and YFS teachers and thought this sketch would make some different style of Christmas cards and it worked.

Go over to CAS(E) this Sketch and play along.

I started off with some Baked Brown Sugar card stock scraps from my Neutral Scrap Binder that holds all my Stampin UP Neutral scraps.

I used a Hobby Lobby brand Reindeer Punch that I got last year and had yet to use.
Using some glimmer paper which is also from Stampin UP, I used/save my old trimmer blades and write old on them.

I use them to cut glitter paper, card board and other harder surfaces as to not ruin my newer blades.
I am using some circle framelits and used some Gumball Green and Real Red card stock to cut out half circle shapes.
I used regular tape runner on the back of the glimmer paper and the green and used tombow to attach the red to the glimmer paper.
Some foam behind the reindeer and some Christmas red gems for the nose.
Finished card.

I used a stamp set from a company called Momenta that I purchased from Micheal's a couple of years ago.

Freshly Made Sketches #196

I am enjoying all these sketch challenges that let you basically make an anything goes card. Over at Freshly Made Scketches their challenge #196 is very simple but very versatile.

I masked off a 110 pound white card stock and put a My Favorite Things stencil on top.

I am using Stampin UP Smokey Slate ink and an ink blender to add a soft grey to the stencil.
I got this stamp set from Technique Tuesday and its called Eek.

I used some google eyes to replace the regular eyes and stamped in Smokey Slate first and then used some Wink of Luna on top in Silver.

I added the spider on some foam and the sentiment is stamped in Smokey Slate on Smokey Slate card stock.

MFT Sketch Challenge #238

I love the Sketch for My Favorite Things Challenge #238.  It is so versatile and I thought how about a Birthday Card. I combined three company's products to produce a very subtle Birthday Card that could also be turned into an Anniversary card if needed or even a welcome baby girl card.

I am using the MFT Linen back ground stamp and also using Stampin UP ink and card stock in Sahara Sand.

I masked off the top part as to not get ink of the back of the card.
Using wax paper for these types of die really helps because they have not holes to punch out the paper from the die.

Look how easily they come off.

The stamp and die set is from My Favorite Things and is called Sweet Rose.
I added both foam and tap to the back so that the flowers pop off the card base and are flush with the sentiment panel.

I used Very Vanilla card stock for my sentiment panel and my flowers witch is also by Stampin UP.
Finished card, I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the top of my sentiment and gold pearls to the flower centers.

I stamped the flowers in Stampin UP ink in Crushed Curry, So Saffron, Lucky Limeade, and Pistachio Pudding. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and is from their Wet Pain line.

Storing Stampin UP Card Stock

I used to store my Stampin UP card stock by color families but I recently decided to store them by rainbow color.  Then I was having trouble figuring out the color it was so I came up with this solution that is actually working out now.

I start off with a 8 1/2 by 11 inch page protector and cut off the top part.

I but them in bulk at Sam's Club.
I hand write with a sharpie, no need to be neat right, the name of the card stock and if it is current of retired that way I know if I can re order more or not.

I put my whole sheets on their side in the opened part of the sleeve.
I use another page protector to hold the scraps, I don't cut the side of this one I leave it as is.

Label the top as well.
I put in with the whole sheets at the front.
And here is one folder full of reds.

Here it is open and the below picture is of it closed.

And here is where they are stored, the bin to the right has all my scraps of white, cream, and kraft. those are not stampin up brand. I have my scraps of neutral color's from Stampin UP stored in a binder.

CAS(E) this Sketch #133

Over at the CAS(E) this Sketch blog their #133 sketch I found would make a neat thank you for a holiday card.

I am using an older stamp from Micheal's called Noel.
I arranged my snow flakes on my 5 inch by 3 3/4 inch white panel on top of a scrap piece of paper.
I am using three shades of blue from Stampin UP, colors are Soft Sky, Marina Mist, and Baja Breeze.
This thanks die I purchased from Hobby Lobby it came is a set of three different word dies from a company called Little Yellow Bicycle.
I cut it out again about six times using Marina Mist card stock which is also my card base.

Using wax paper between layers helps with the removal of the die from the card stock.
Adhere the white panel on the card base I added some extra adhesive to the middle before I added the panel so that the stacked thanks die will adhere to the inside.
Don't forget to save your pieces to add to the die cut.
All done.

Sketch-N-Scrap Card Sketch July 2015 #53

If you would like to participate you can CLICK HERE to get to Sketch-N-Scrap blog.

I saw this idea a while ago and thought how genius, I made a Christmas Version.

I am just laying out some different circle dies and comparing to my stamp to find the best fit.

These are an old style My Favorite Things circle stack that I got along time ago on clearance.
I cut the circle out of a thinner piece of scrap card stock and used some removable adhesive to attach to the center of my 4X5 1/4 panel.
I stamped full strength in Baked Brown Sugar ink around in a circle.
I then stamped off in the same ink and stamped in between the full strength ink.
I used a banned punch to make a flag end on my sentiment stamped in Riding Hood Red.
I added three drops of re inker and some water and tested out some splatter to see if the color was right.
My main card base is a 110 pound heavy weight white and then I added a panel of Riding Hood Red sized to the front of the card, this can save on purchasing expensive card stock.
Its hard to see but I did about 4 sprays of shimmer mist about one feet away in my box.
I added some foam under my sentiment.

Close up.

I used from Stampin UP all Retired :( sorry : Riding Hood Red ink and card stock, Baked Brown Sugar ink, "Ornamental Pine" stamp set, and their foam dimensionals My demo is Jenny Rast Find a Stampin UP demo here http://www.stampinup.com/home/en-US/
