Get the moset of a 12X12 sheet of paper

Recently I have been getting into Project Life, not exactly the way you are supposed to do it but sort of.  Hey its all about documenting those memories.  I love when Alexis sits with her scrap book and shows Alivia all the pictures and talks to her about the memories.

I am doing a Pre School Project Life type album for Alexis, its in a 8 1/2 X 11 size album. I want to go full force the new year and start to document the whole family day to day life.

I also just received the Envelope Punch Board from Stampin Up and I LOVE IT.  I have been making envelope's for the cards that I personally deliver which save me money buy using up paper and also buy not buying so many envelope's. But I still buy envelopes for the cards I send out or sell in craft shows.

So with my love of making envelopes and Project Life I figures what could I do with the extra parts of my 12 X12 patterned paper.  Well I made one envelope and 3 3X4 Project Life cards and a 4X6 Project Life card. I also have a long strip I can use for another project or give to Alexis and a smaller square that I can again use for another project or give to Alexis

Here are some pictures I took of the 12X12 paper.

Paper cut up.

Yes I did just round all three 3X4 cards at ounce, paper is not so thick.

Left has the 3 3X4 Project Life cards, middle has a 1inX12in scrap top right has the envelope put together for a standard size card, middle right has the 4X6 Project Life Card and the bottom right has a 4inX2in scrap

Possible could be a Masculaine Birthday card

Over at Word Art Wednesday its another Any Thing Goes Challenge #99.

I needed to get a birthday card done for a guy and wanted to get it done early, I like to procrastinate but I am doing really good getting cards pre done and addressed. I just have to not misplace them and find them a month late (I have done that a time or two).

This card was supper simple and used just a few supplies

I used Stampin Up Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, and Old Olive ink.
I used some Recollections Pearls in Black. (from Micheal's)
I used some Heavy Weight card stock in White. (from Hobby Lobby)
I used a stamp set from Studio G. (a 1.50 set from Micheal's)
I used a stamp set from Stampin Up call Stack of Wishes. (hostess set that I believe may be retired :(
A .01 Zig Millennium marker. (I got a killer deal on a set of 6 on clearance at Hobby Lobby)

Here I am showing how I selectively inked the stamp set to make it shorter.
The inks.

Some more supplies.

Trying to decided which size pearl to use.

Pokey tool to help pick up and put on card.

I only inked the happy birthday part, great way to stretch out your stamps.

Finished Card, main layer on foam squares and also the banner is on foam squares.

Colors of Fall sympathy card

Mary's Go To Galz over at Cardz TV are having another challenge, Colors of Fall #36.

It didn't says it had to be a fall card, it stated to use the colors of fall, Red, Orange, Purple, Brown, and Gold.

I needed to make another sympathy card for work and was struggling for an idea so I thought to see what Cardz TV had for challenges right now.

It was a challenge too under 30 minutes and I tried many different things, still not 100% in love but its growing on me.

Supplies I started with.

Changing my mind.

I used Stampin up Elegant Eggplant, Cajun Craze, and More Mustard.

Lawn Fawn lawn trimmings.

Washi tape on the back to hold the string down.

Glue dots and a pokey tool under the bow to secure it.

Stamp set I used, the one on the left is a Hero Arts set and the on the right is a Fiskars set.

Finished Card with Viva Decor Gold pen on flower.

Pre School Project Life Week #6

Here is my week #6 layout, I have chosen to do 2 pictures a week and also a picture of her show and share object for Thursdays. I have started to make a spot on the layouts for the show and share.

I used a 12X12 piece of Halloween paper from my stash and some scraps from my stash as well.
I used Stampin Up inks in Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi, and Daffodil Delight.
I used Stampin Up writer markers in Tangerine Tango and Chocolate Chip.
A big wooden recipe stamp by Stampablilities.

Here are some pictures....

Here's a post about making clear stamps straight.
EK Success punch I got from Target, it also came with a leaf.

The above stamp set I got at TJMAX, its an American Crafts set called Roxie.

The set beside it is from Stamp a Bilities. Its a recipe stamp set, I just masked of the top and bottom line.
I masked of an area to stamp a journal spot.
How it will be in the book.

Close up, also sponged the edges this time

Easily Align Clear Mount Stamps

Here are a few tips on how I easily align my clear mount/photopolymer stamps.

Use your grid on your mat.

Use the lines on your block along with the mat.

Align next word using the grid lines.

Since they are clear you can hoover your block over the stamp tell you like the placement.

Tada pretty good.

File Folder Thanksgiving card

Challenge #98 at Word Art Wednesday as always anything goes.

I just received the Stampin Up Envelope Punch Board and wanted to try out the file folder card that everyone has been talking about.

I also used a technique where you make your own stamp pad using re inkers and a couple of baby wipes.

Standard 8 1/2 X 11 paper, this is the Heavy Weight paper by The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) I believe is 85 lb. I cut in Half and then took off 3/4 inch off one side. I still scored at 4 1/4.
I cut a 1 1/2 inch piece of patterned paper and put on the longer edge.
Cut a piece of patterned paper at 3 3/14 X 4 1/4 and adhered to the front.
Using your punch board align as shown in the picture to the right.
After you have punched move it over to the 3 inch mark and punch again.
Turn paper like shown on right and repeat the two steps listed above.

In paper trimmer align notch with cutting blade and cut away from the file folder tab.
There are tons of videos on You Tube, just search Envelope Punch Board or File Folder Cards.
If not sure which one to cut for the inside tab just close card and cut the one about the outside tab off.
Round the 2 corners with the opposite punch on the board.
Here I am using my Stampin Up Writer Markers and just seeing which colors match my pattern paper.

I used from Stampin Up re inkers Basic Grey, Cajun Craze, So Saffron, and two that are retired but I still love More Mustard and Bravo Burgundy.

When you stamps with this you don't need to clean your stamp each time and you can move it around in the ink, just don't rock the stamp in the ink and go up and down.
Testing circles to see which one will look good on the card.  I stamped a bunch of the Maple leaf on cream card stock.
Finished card.

Inside of card.

Stamp sets I used, the one on the left is from Karen Foster Designs called Thanksgiving.
