CAS(E) Sketch Challenge #108

I decided to make a Valentines Day card using this sketch. I used some products I haven't used since I purchased them a long time ago.  The sketch from CAS(E) this sketch challenge #108 is a simple one that can be replicated to many different kinds of cards.

I stamped out this cat from a Paper Trey Ink set called Cats Meow using My Favorite Things Black Licorice Hybrid ink.

I cut off the day part of the sentiment to add a different sentiment also from Paper Trey Ink called Monthly Moments February.
This stencil set from Hobby Lobby I haven't used since I bought it and decided to use the heart stencil.
I cut out the section of the hearts and also masked off the bigger hearts because I only needed the small ones.
I used Stampin UP Real Red ink and a sponge dauber to add the hearts.
I put the heart background on a Stampin UP Smokey Slate card base and also to mat the cat on Smokey Slate as well.

I colored the cat in Copics N2, N4, N6, and R20

December Daily 2014: Christmas Card Holder

So I have these pocket pages that hold things like cards and such, they are from Stampin UP and are called 6X8 Project Life Envelope Pages.  But I didn't have a crop a dile to alter the holes it came with to fit in my December Daily album so I made do with what I had on hand, its not pretty but it works.

This is the package the Envelope pages came in on the left and on the right is one filled with our 2014 Christmas Cards.

I am also going to used a Project Life card by Stampin UP for a title.

This is what the Envelope page looks like out of the package and nothing inside.
I am using some Lilly Bee Designs Alpha stickers from the Destination Collection.
I decided to leave the corners square this time.

Then I realized the holes don't match and I don't have a Crop A Dile.

So I used a Sharpie to make some marks.
I tried a regular hole punch, well no go.

I tried a circle die and running it threw multiple times, well no go to that too.

Then I used my poker tool to start a hole then used my cutter bee scissors to push threw and viola a hole.
Its a little wonky but it works.

Color Me #54

I found a new challenge blog called Color Me and their challenge #54 are to use the colors Real Red and Pacific point, of course you can use neutrals.

I figured how about a boy card, so I brought out my Lawn Fawn Beep Boop Birthday stamp set with matching dies and also my Stamps of Life Square Flip it Card.

I am using some scrap white card stock to cut out my pieces.
Here's all my pieces cut and the white pieces stamped. I used My Favorite Things Hybrid ink in Black Licorice.
Here I used Real Red ink on Real Red card stock to achieve a tone on tone look. These colors are from Stampin UP.
I copic colored my robot using:
B24, 0, N0, N4, and N6.
Finished card. I used dimensionals on the balloon and robot.

Tips and Tricks #5

Here I am showing you how I decided to make doing my December Daily and Elf Album easier. I decided to use a album to hold the page protectors and add some dividers to separate the different designs.

Here is one of my favorite brands of 6X8 page protectors.

Purchased at Hobby Lobby.
There are 10 of each design, it includes 4 designs.

10 6X8
10 with two 4X6
10 with four 3X4
10 with one 4X6 and two 3X4
This album is from Hobby Lobby as well, its the Paper Studio brand 8X9 album.
Here is what it looks like inside after I added the page protector's and dividers.
I fit three packages in the binder, here is a view from the top when the binder is closed.

December Daily 2014: Day 3

Back with another day done in my December Daily album. This only took me about 10 minutes to complete.

Here I am using a 4X6 project life card and turning it into a 3X4 card. I love how versatile Project Life is.

This is a Doodlebug Designs card and I am using the Project Life dies to cut it with my Big Shot and magnetic platform.
Here is another reason why I love these cards because I really loved this color but didn't want the Merry Christmas banner on top so I covered it with a banner sticker.
And Viola a custom card for my album. I also used some enamel stickers from My Minds Eye on the bottom right.

The alpha stickers are from Lilly Bee Designs.
Look at this wood grain Alpha, love it.

Its from the Lilly Bee Designs Destination collection.
Added a Stampin UP sticker on the top of the photo.

Added my journaling

Finished page.

December Daily 2014: Day 15

For day 15 I decided to add one of my tags from the Christmas books I wrapped my girls. I wrapped and made tags for 25 Christmas books. The girls get to open one each night and we read it at bedtime. We did pretty good for our first year of starting this tradition, we managed half of the 25 books.

I figured I would let you guys know my favorite corner chomper for my Project Life or Mini Album pages.

Its from X-ACTO, I got it from Walmart a long time ago.
I am using some inexpensive label stickers that I purchased from Hobby Lobby, their Paper Studio brand.
This is a picture of the girls opening one of their books, taking turns pulling off the paper. I added some fun stickers and more black Alpha stickers.
The tag that has a three on it is the one I saved. I didn't adhere it to the photo and on the back I added that the tags were made by me.

Tips and Tricks #4

Binder for Stamps and Cordinating Dies

I have decided that I will stamp out one stamp set and cut out the coordinating dies as well and add them to a binder. Kinda like a inventory binder. Its gonna take a while due to how many stamps I have but I figure a set here and there would also help get my creativity going and use stamp sets that I haven't used in a while or at all.

Here's how I am getting Started....

I started by using my label maker and printed out the stamp company, how many stamps, and how many dies.

Also cut my paper to size of my binder. Six inches wide by nine inches tall.

Its a green room binder that I purchased on clearance at Target a while back.
I am using cheap Recollections card stock from Micheal's and used Tombow Mono Multi glue to add the die cuts. I stamped the coordinating stamps to the side of the die cut shapes.

I used Versa Mark ink.
To make it a little easier I added a bunch of stamps on a block, it also made it faster.
Finished page

I added some hole punches and placed in my binder.

CAS(E) this Sketch #106

Over at CAS(E) this Sketch the new challenge #106, the sketch has things over to one side of the card and I loved all the designer's cards and thought about how my friend had recently moved to a new home so I went to my Lawn Fawn stamps and took out my Home Sweet Home set and got to work.

I stamped out a bunch of the houses in My Favorite Things Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and die cut them with the coordinating dies.

I am only using three of them but put the other die cuts with my stamp set in my Avery Elle Pockets for future use.
I ended up cutting down the panel in the end but this is the start. Stamping the houses again towards the right side of the panel.
I colored them with my copics and cut the panel down and used a Stampin Up Smokey Slate card base. Using dimensional's I added the panel to the right side of the card letting the grey show off to the left side.
 Copic colors are as followed:
G40, N4, E00. RV69
B12, B14, N4, E00, RV69
V20, V22, N4, E00, RV69
I added dimensional's to three of the houses and also cut out the banner.
