Cas-ual Fridays CFC135

I needed to make a birthday card for my Step Daughter who will be 12 in January and thought that this challenge would help me make a kinda tween card, not too little girl and not a full blown teenager yet.

The Cas-ual Friday challenge CFC135 is to use sequins and felt, which I haven't used felt in a while so I figured hey why not dig out my felt stash.

 I am using Stamps of Life Felt in two different types of purple colors, a light and a dark. I'm sorry my package doesn't say the colors that they are.

I am also using a Stampin UP stamp and die set combo called Flower Patch.

 I don't have the flowers completely adhered just using them as a placement while I stamp the stems.  I was originally going to use the larger and small stem but decided to just use the larger one.

I used Stampin UP ink in Old Olive.

 I used Ranger Multi Medium Matte to adhere the felt and sequins.

 Some Fiskars tweezers to help with the smaller flowers.

 I decided to change the card base to a purple color, I just cut the panel I was working on down to 4X5 1/4 and used the other half cut to the same size for a mat on the inside.

I used Versa Fine Black Onyx ink for the sentiment on the front and inside of the card.
Also using Stampin UP dimensional to pop up the front of the card.

 I used a Stampin UP punch, sorry I don't recall the name of it and the same Old Olive ink and a Technique Tuesday stamp for the back of the card.

Finished card, I used Pretty Pink Posh 4mm cupped sequins in the color Lemon Drop as the flower centers.

Close up, I am really glad I changed the color of the card base, I believe it makes the card pop even more.
