Taylored Expressions May Facebook Challenge

I of course would like to get back involved in more challenges so I decided to join the May Taylored Expressions Face Book Challenge which is about Masking.  The only rule is to use one Taylored Expressions product on your card and have the technique as well.

I began by using TE Masking Stencils - Circles.
I store mine in scrapbook binders 8X8 sized with page protectors.

I decided to use Marshmallow card stock from Bazzill for my blending.
I used the TE blending brushes along with Stampin Up ink in Tranquil Tide.

Dies from Through the Woods and my Sizzix Side Kick.

I cleaned of my stencil and placed it back over and brought it to my splatter box.
I used some Tim Holtz Distress Paint in the color brushed pewter and flicked some on with an old paint brush.

It gives a gray shinny night sky look to this green/blue background.

I am using some black mini dimensionals from Stampin Up.

One tree has one layer and the other has double foam.

I am using some Ribbon from Stampin Up.
I used double sided taped to adhere them to the front of my card panel.

I used some scotch tap to adhere the ribbon down.
I added Tombow Mono Liquid glue and double sided tape on the back of the panel.

I found a sentiment from a Hero Arts set.
SHHH, i cut it apart and it was OK.

Finished Card.

The back.
I accidentily stamped it upside down but I am rolling with it.

My card base is Tranquil Tide also Stampin UP.
The inside tree is Handsome Hunter card stock from Stampin Up.

I used a Deckle Edge die from the Stamps of Life.
The layer behind that is Handsome Hunter card stock.

Mothers Day Card with Daisy Die Cuts

I have recently found the company Waffle Flower and joined their Sneak Peak club which also gives access to their Releases early along with Free Shipping.

I am trying to step out of my comfort zone and flowers are one of those items I do not use very often.

I am using my Sizzix Side Kick to do alot of my smaller die cutting.
This MOM die came from Taylored Expressions.

These Daisy dies are from Waffle Flower.
I used these little tray from Target to hold my die cuts.

I am using Powder Sugar for the White card stock, from the Stamps of Life.
A T-Square ruler help to guide my placement.
Tombow Mono Liquid Glue and Tweezers help as well.
I cut out the MOM three times to add dimension to my card.

Again Tombow Mono Liquid Glue to adhere the Daisy's.
I am only gluing one side because they are going to over hang and I will cut off the excess.

I found this card on the Waffle Flower website.
I am changing the colors up to what I have in my stash.
Card stock is from Stampin Up.
Smokey Slate
Misty Moonlight
Seaside Spray
So Saffron

After the flowers have dried for just a little I used scissors to cut off the over hang.

I love my Sizzix Side Kick.

Finished Card

I used some flat sequins from my stash to add some sparkle and interest.

An extra flower on the inside and some matching card stock as well.
This also helps bulk up the card and create stability.

Taylored Expressions Mini Strips for the sentiment and I used their cordinating dies as well.
