Global Design Project #38

I decided to try out and play along with the Global Design Project card sketch.

I also just watched a video from Dawn from wplus9 and new I wanted to recreate something to that effect and the card sketch almost matches her card completely.

I started off by stamping my sentiment in Versa Fine Black Onyx ink which is my favorite bold black ink for sentiments.

I cut these panels about 3 1/2 by 5 1/2 but in the end I will cut them down.

The sentiment came from a set called Sweet Rose by My Favorite Things.
This is me just playing around with the layout.

I used post it notes to mask off areas while stamping.
I like how it tuned out so I began stamping each color one at a time to make three cards.

I am using Stampin Up ink in Perfect Plum, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, and Wild Wasabi.
These are from Lawn Fawn and I have never used them :(, and I needed a border and remembered I had them so I pulled them out and used wire cutters to cut them apart.

A post it note to hold it down and ran it threw my big shot.
I do have matching card stock for the ink colors I used but I was just lazy and decided to do some ink blending on some of the scraps I had.

The ink will soften over time and look great, do not panic.

I am useing Micheal's 100 pound white card stock for today's card.
I cut the inked strips down to about 1/2 inch wide by 5 1/2 tall and adhered them to the stamped pieces and added some dimensionals on the back.
All three cards, I could not decide on a color for the sides so that is why I did all three.

The inside, I sponged some green and cut the same way and glued on the inside of the card.

The backs of the cards.

The front of the envelopes.

One of the cards.

Close up, I love that stitching on the scallop part of the border.

  1. Very pretty - I have sponged color on white cardstock before when I didn't want to cut up a full sheet! :-) Love the insides of your cards too!
