Stamp Ink and Paper Challenge #65

The Ombre Challenge for Stamp Ink and Paper seemed like a perfect opportunity to use a leaf stamp and the baby wipe technique.

If you would like to play along CLICK HERE.

Know I know not alot of people use wood stamps anymore because there are alot of Photopolymer stamps on the market but I really beleive that wood/rubber mount stamps work very well with the baby wipe technique, I feel they hold the ink better and do not bead up as much.

I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the Stampin Up Magnificent Maple.
I am using Stampin UP reinkers in the colors, Pumpkin Pie, Peekaboo Peach, Tangelo Twist, Tangerine Tango, and Cajun Craze.
I used two plane baby wipes folded in half, so I basicly had four layers.

I used four drops in each spot.
Here is the finished make shift stamp pad.
I am making four cards at once because you will get alot of images from this baby wipe stamp pad.

I am using 110 pound white card stock and stamping in the middle of all four first.

Then use the stamp-a-ma-jig to postion the others.
I am using a scrap of paper below and remember if you stamp on the edge there will sometimes be ink left on your stamp, I just squish it on my scrap paper.
I used a big bold thank you stamp in Versa Mark Black ink.

Its from Stampendous, called Happy Messages.

I matted it on some Cajun Craze card stock and wrapped some orange tinge twine around the bottom, and some what made a little tassle knot.
Here is the back of the sentiment strip, I added some foam and string on the back, I taped the string on the back as well.
Added some Cajun Craze reinker and some water to a block I flicked some splatters on all four card mats.

I put a new piece of scrap paper behind because it will get messy.
Here is what it looks like.
Finished Card

Close up, I added it onto a Cajun Craze top fold card base and put a white mat on the inside with anouther stamped leaf.
The inside.
