Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Things That Fly

Over at the Wednesday Challenge blog for Simon Says Stamp their challenge this week is "Things that fly", and since I am still on a kids birthday card kick I figure how about a little girl card featuring Butterfly's.

Alivia got invited to her first official Birthday party, I mean outside of family Birthdays.  Shes pretty excited because its one of her gymnastic friends, Alivia is almost 3 1/2.

I got this paper from Targets $1 spot a month or so ago and loved the pink plaid and that is what I am going to use for my background.

This paper is not thin and flimsy it is a nice thick paper which is nice being its pattern paper.

I am using a set by Stamps of Life that has matching dies called butterfly2build.

I am stamping on a mouse pad to get a nice impression.

Using Stampin UP Baked Brown Sugar ink.
I am also using from Stampin Up Wisteria Wonder and So Saffron.

I ended up not using this butterfly but I still cut it out and will keep it in my stamp/die pocket.

I ended up kinda doing a rock and roll technique with the ink pads to achieve the two colored wings.
Another stamp set, this one from the Stamps of Life card kits called celebrations4kitclub.

Since the stamp is Photopolymer i was abble to bend it like a trail from the butterfly.

Using Versa Fine Black onynx ink to stamp it.
A stamp set from Stampendous called "Birthday Wish", I was able to line up the different sentiments and stamp on one block.
And then I did a boo boo and shifted my stamping and got a crappy image, well to fix it I cut a piece of Very Vanilla card stock to 4X5 1/4 and restamped and glued it on my So Saffron Card base.

Card stock by Stampin UP.
Here I am using my favorite stamp for the back of my cards from Technique Tuesday and also random hearts from one of my newest purchases from Simon Says Stamp called "Tons Of Hearts".

Stamped in coordinating colors of the card.
How the back looks.

Close up, the butterfly is poped up using foam.

Inside with a little scrap of pattern paper.

Finished card, I added some Wink of Stella in the clear to the wings and some Glossy Accents to the body.
