congrats

So, I am entering three challenges with this one card!  The first will be for a Video Response to tuesdaehubbard 500+ subbie giveaway.   The second will be for the anything goes challenge over at Word Art Wednesday #129. The third will be for Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday challenge #161

I wanted to make tuesdae a congrats card for having 500+ subbies on her you tube channel, she challenges me to scrapbook more of my two favorite little monsters 2 1/2 Miss Alivia Pivia Smivia and 5 1/2 Lexi Pexi. Even though I do a family project life and a Pre School project life album for Pexi I still want to get back into creating 12X12 layouts.

I have leaned into more card making over the past year or so and just recently got into the whole pocket scrap booking phase.

Soo lets see some pictures and less rambling.....

So I needed to create an inked background for part of the PPT MIM challenge so that I can do water droplets on top.
My first color was Pumice Stone distress ink and my second color was Iced Spruce and finally my third color was Victorian Velvet.
Love these new tools by ranger.
Finished piece.
Random droplets.
Now I should of used scrap black card stock but I dint realized it tell after I embossed it.

This die is from the PTI Wonderful Words stamp and die set Congrats, I believe its #11.
Some sparkly Zing black embossing powder. I glued all the congrats together to form my own 3D embellishment.
I started trying to use a sharpie on the edges and that wasn't working so I took some Black soot and water and used a paint brush to color the edges.
I got this tip from Jennifer McGuire about running your Versa Mark pad along the edges of your paper to make the paper match your embossed die cut.
Again from Jennifer McGuire, she uses the Extreme adhesive for tough jobs, like this watercolor paper that I added water tool.
Wanted these wood stars to match the colors they were at so I squished them in my ink pad.
Finished off the card with some wink of stella on the stars and some extra on the congrats.
