Elf Christmas

I made this background a while back after I watched a video from Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire and I could just never finish because I was just stuck. So when I saw two of my favorite challenge blogs had what this background needed I had an idea.

The first challenge I will enter this card in is a go to challenge from Word Art Wednesday Challenge #141, its always anything goes and the ladies are so inspirational. Please go check them out.

The second challenge I will enter this card in is the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge called spots and dots. I recently have began to try and enter their challenges after their last Online Card Class I took called Watercolor for Cardmakers.

And finally I am entering this card in the Creative Challenge Club because they are a card sketch based challenge and this fit PERFECTLY with what I was going for. #CCC04

I first stamped this Stampabilities image in StazOn Jet Black ink on some scrap white card stock.
I love this Stampin Up cleaner system, It got my StazOn ink off with no problem.
I used an EK punch and the same scrap card stock, I believe its a Heavy Weight white from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby brand) and used my VersaMark ink and some Zing silver embossing powder.
I used my pokey tool to help keep in place while I heat set the powder, it makes a huge difference to let you heat tool warm up for a few seconds before heat setting your project.
This polka dot piece I made about a month ago and just had it sitting on my desk waiting for more inspiration. I used white ink and a Heidi Swapp stencil, then after it dried I repositioned the stencil and used Tim Holtz ink over the top with an ink blending tool.
Using blender pens by Stampin UP along with their ink I colored in my little elf image.
I used ink from Stampin UP in Soft Suede, Gumball Green, Real Red, Crushed Curry, Pretty in Pink, and Blushing Bride.

The stamp set I got at Micheal's last year for under $5 I believe but I don't have the packaging so I don't know the name. :(
