Day 2 Projects for Water Color Class

This day was hard because I didnt have all the tools the teachers were using but out of the three techniques I was still able to participate and make one card.  This is from the first video using water color pencils for the background and how to blend them so you cant see the pencil lines, I used my inktense Pencils and here is my swatches.  I think I did ok, im making this card earlier because later on tonight I have a PTA meeting at Lexis school and I stayed up too late yesterday for class. If you want to see Day 1 projects click HERE. The nice thing about the watercolor class is that as your watercolor back ground dries you can work on your blog post!!

Again I am using the Artist loft Watercolor Pad that has 24 sheets sized 9X12 its 140 pound cold press that I purchased at Micheal's for less then $7 and I have to say I really like this paper.

Inktense pencils in Poppy Red, Tangerine, Sun Yellow, and Baked Earth. I used a wide paint brush to add water to each section, you can still see the blended lines but after it dries it get allot softer and the lines fade into each other.

Letting it air dry on my infamous baking pan.

I used a stamp set from a SSS card kit called Watts Up and used Stampin Up Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight. I fussy cut out the bulb which didn't take anytime at all. Also used some clear Wink of Stella along the Calypso Coral and the I LOVE YOU sentiment.

I used some extreme adhesive to add a little in the center to hold my thread down. I used the Poppy Red Inktense pencil to add the splatters, I scribbled it on my block and added water and then used my paint brush to flick it on the card before I added the thread.

Finished Card.

I used some thread I got at a thrift store and used Stampin Up dimenstionals to pop up the light bulb.

Using splattering like I did on the outside along with the light bulb stamp set.

inside of the card, I love to dress up the insides of my cards.
