Stretch Your Stamps 2 Day #1 Video #3

Day 1 video's were pretty awesome I enjoyed all 3 out of 4 of the video techniques.

My first 2 cards are from video #3 from Shari Carroll her video title.

Faux Watercolor Stamping – Reverse Background Stamps.

I have to warn you theres allot of pictures.

Here I am using my silicone craft mat and applied Tim Holtz ink onto it in a square pattern.  The stamp I am using is from Stampabilities called Tapestry Pattern. I got it at my local Hobby Lobby.
I am using distress inks from Tim Holtz in Rusty Hinge, Victorian Velvet, Iced Spruce, and Evergreen Bough.
Here is what the stamp looked like before I misted it with water. I moved the stamp around the ink squares on my craft mat always checking before re inking to make sure my colors don't get too muddy.
The one on the right is my first stamped image, I gently put pressure down as I stamped. The one on the left is after I added more water. I let these air dry but you could use your heat tool if you wanted too, I just worked on other class projects as I waited for it to dry.
Here I cut them into 1inch by 1inch cubes and distressed the darkest panel in Tim Holtz Rusty Hinge distress ink and the lightes panel in Tim Holtz Antique Linen.

Make sure to keep your squares together so you don't mess your pattern, I applied a little adhesive to start with then applied more when I got them where I wanted them.
 The 2 finished panels.
Foam squares from the good old dollar store on the back of each panel.
I used a Paper Trey Ink die called congrats and die cut 4, 2 for each card. I added temporary adhesive to the back of 2 and inked one of each in Rusty Hinge and Antique Linen.
To cover up my Tombow Mono glue from the Stampin UP vellum that I used to punch out 8 butterfly's. 4 in vellum and 4 in white scrap card stock. The 4 white butterfly's I inked in Tim Holtz ink just like the congrats die cut. I used Pearls from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby brand).
Finished first card.

Close Up, I did what Shari did and put my white congrats slightly over the colored congrats die cut.

I used the 2 Stampin Up butterfly punches they currently carry.

Finished card from the 2nd re misting, the lighter version.

I used 6 mm Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow sequins and added some Pearls on top and around, kinda like a flower.

Close up, I glued the colored butterfly's flat and added the thin line of Tombow glue to the center and folded up the wings on the vellum butterfly.
