Stretch Your Stamps 2 Day 2 video 1

Day 2 of Stretch Your Stamps was very interesting. These 4 cards are from Video #1 by Laura Sterckx.

Theres allot of photos so just warning you.

I started off by Clear embossing my background stamp from Hobby Lobby called Quatrefoil background by Stampabilities. I did this on four pieces of Neenah Bright White card stock.
Tim Holtz ink in Iced Spruce, Evergreen Bough, and Broken China.
 Testing on scrap card stock.
The bottom is Iced Spruce and the middle is Evergreen Bough.
 The top is Broken China.
Tim Holtz ink in Victorian Velvet, Worn Lipstick, and Spun Sugar.
Again testing my ink on card stock to see if they work well and which is lightes to darkest vice versa.
Bottom is Victorian Velvet and middle is Worn Lipstick.
Again Victorian velvet on the bottom, Worn Lipstick in the middle and Spun Sugar on top.
Start off light and work up to darken you colors, you can always add more ink but not take it away.
Tim Holtz ink in Rusty Hinge, Tea Dye, and Spiced Marmalade.
Testing ink again on my card stock, I also dabbed off some ink each time I inked to make sure I didn't have too much ink.
Bottom is Rusty Hinge, middle is Tea Dye, and top is Spiced Marmalade.
Testing out my inks for the final card.
Tim Holtz ink in Old Paper, Pealed Paint, and Antique Linen.
The bottom layer is Pealed Paint and the middle layer is Antique Linen.
Bottom is Pealed Paint, middle is Antique linen, and top is Old Paper.
Finished four, using the new Tim Holtz circle foam applicators make it easy to blend the inks together to get the ombree look.

I cut them down even further to 3 inches wide by 4 inches tall, the black layer is 1/4 of an inch bigger.

Since my background stamp is small I trimmed down my traditional card base down to give it 1/2 inch white border all around.

Tombow Mono glue down the card gives me wiggle room to get the sentiment strip right in the middle.

I used from Hero Arts CL351, called Friends Set.

Quick Stick and Tombow Mono to adhere my Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Beautiful Pretty Pink Posh Sequins.

Finished 4 cards, this would make a cute set as a teacher gift.
